I have received a voice message from Jeff Anderson from Hollywood,CA. He had an accent. He said something about looking for talent for modeling and acting. Didn't get a good feeling about this, you know the kind of feeling from your gut that something isn't right? I feel when you leave a message, you need to provide not only your name, but the company you're calling from, not just the city and state. Also, when I listed to my message it said the call came from 5540. What does that mean?

    I just called, Its fake!
I could tell by the vioce the guy that answered was the guy that called me. But he was "playing" the receptionist, then put my on hold then was some one else that was talking calls for Kevin. He asked me for my number then put me on hold to look up my profile. Then he came back to the phone and said kevin was in a meetting with some desing people. But me and my husbeand could both tell all three was the same guy. Dont waist your time its all B.S.

Got a call from the same thing.

He claimed to be Jason from Hollywood. Scary thing is that he knew my name.

I don't know how he got my name and number.

His number came up as 443-5562 on my phone - but asked me to call 1 800-966-9940 back.

Someone should call this guy and use a different name - see what happens.

This number is a number associated with Explore Talent (www.exploretalent.com). If anybody has ever submitted anything to them, that is why they called.  They called me too, I went with it because I had submitted some inquiries too with explore talent.  It is legit, but those accents are not, I even checked with Explore Talent to see and they verified everything.

the usual i fell for it However my account was upgraded as discussed but i fear this is because they some how got my log in  information and just checked out. i placed a TIP in the FBI main page. i suggest you all do the same and add a link to this page.

follow this link and fill out the information and state your case!!!

    http://www.fbi.gov/contactus.htm

IN THE UPPER LEFT THIRD ITEM DOWN click and submit info or http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx to submit this as an internet scam since they get your information there.

I got a call from a guy named Janian. Don't know how you spell it. He has an Asian accent. He's asked me to call back 800-966-9940. I did sign for the website but I want to make sure that it is real before I get myself involved onto something I would regret later.

This number is OmniTech, a computer service subscription service.  I purchased a 12 month contract wherein they remotely log on to my computer and clean it up once a month.  They ask you to leave your computer on all night so they can service your computer.  If you get a call like this it mean either that you have subscribed to the service or they have a wrong number for someone who did subscribe.

This # is OmniTech, I enrolled with them about 6 months ago, and they are a computer service subscription service. They remotely log on to my computer and clean it up once a month.  They call me ones a month (and email me) to let me know when they will be remote accessing my computer.

Oh, sure.  No problem.  Wanna check out my computer for 12 hours from a remote location and an annonymous  "tech"? Ibet they DO clean it....out.  Got the same call.  Not a subscriber.  Message was just garbled enough that the only thing understood was the phone number and "leave your computer on all night".

They are legit. I've never had a problem with them although they charge too high just to optimize my computer. I never keep anything on mine worth cleaning out.

Ah, I did sign up with them ,  it's a paid service for remote computer assistence for my PC which I found thru the Sony.com/tech support site.  they do leave messages I just never have a chance to call them back. I should, I paid for the service for crying out loud . Thanks everyone. I'll save this number.

Fast talker with fake accent from explore talent. Said my pics were beautiful and at the end of the convo  wanted to know if I'd be using debit/credit for his services as a talent advisor. May be legit but if have bills to catch up on it's best not to set yourself up by calling back. It'll cost you $200. He talked really fast like he was reading and he sounded like the same person, eric, that left the msg but he told me he was his boss. He didnt even mute the phone but pretended to be the receptionist and came back on as jeff anderson. I dont know about it but I def dont have the money to find out.

I received a call regarding my computer saying that I had reported 'error events' and that they wanted to help me remove the 'infection' from my computer.  When I tried to get a call back number the call would get dropped.  I've received two additional calls and this was the call back number provided.  I tried to confirm via reverse directory and found it is unidentified.  Not letting anyone access my computer without confirmation.

I had a problem when Outlook was installed and took over my email acccount.  I tried several different references to correct the problems or to get Outlook removed.  During my inqueries I somehow got connected with OmniTech. At the time I assumed they were working with MSN Support.  They wanted to log into my PC to help clear the Outlook problems.  The download to allow this never did work.  I spoke to a number of different people and each had strong accents some of which I could not understand clearly.  After thinking I had gotten away from them, I noticed that an applet was trying to connect to my pc.  I could not stop  it or get ride of it and when i called OmniTech again I got no where again due to the language problem.  No matter what I tried, each time I brought my PC up that "connecting" window appeared. this went on for several days.  Finally got rid of it just yesterday by running a Norton Scan.  I don't recommend OmniTech to anyone.
