- annmillernavy| 1 replyA person calling himself "Bob Johnson" called responding to online inquiries I made regarding health insurance. Since I was previously a victim of phone fraud, I explained that before I would give out any personal information, he would have to give me both their physical address and their mailing address so I could research the company. All he would tell me is that he was calling from Dallas, TX. He then put an "Enrollment Director" on the phone. When I requested the same information from him, he stated that they would not be able to assist me because if I had to research their company, the "special" enrollment rate would expire before I finished my investigation.

- kery replies to annmillernavyThe same happend to me. When I told them to send me an email with the company details and information, they told me that they do not send out emails and that the ofer was going to exire by the time I research the company. The lady asked me for my debit card logo in the back of the card before asking me for the visa card number. Be very carefull do not give them your information
- JR| 1 replyI've also spoken with this company and after doing my research I've found that they are very reputable!!! I called back and thankfully it was still avalible,so I purchased the plan. Its now going on my second year of coverage and I'm completely satisfied!

- TfordThis is National Benefit Advisory Association, PHCS. I signed up for this and the money was taken from my account before I received any paperwork. I have tried to call to cancel this plan and each time told I had to talk to the person I set up with and they would call me back. No call back. Today when I call all I get is a busy signal. When I searched the number I have been calling 817-732-2258 it comes up CSB Battery of America Corp., Ft. Worth and a name of Rob Reed. Other numbers are 800-797-4870, 888-330-3318 and 800-454-3297 so far.

I will continue to call the same number until 1 o'clock today. If still busy or get "she'll call you back" I will call the 800-454-3297 number. If I get the run around there I'm calling my bank, negate my agreement for the draft and have them reverse that payment in full.- Caller: NBAA

- KyleI spoke with a "Jody Adams" who listed her number as 1-800-979-4870 x4213. She seemed very nice yet a bit pushy for my comfort. I asked about information for the plan she was offering me and pointed me to http://www.global-mb.com I repeatedly asked her if she was selling insurance or a discount medical benefit plan and she assured me she was selling legitimate insurance. Every single page on their website has a disclaimer at the bottom of the page that says "NOTE: THIS IS NOT INSURANCE." She also said the government limited the amount of plans they could offer which seems fishy. Like the above posts, she claimed time was running out for eligibility and I should act quickly.
Also, in small print on the website, they say they are a member of the American International Group ... AIG.
No Thanks.- Caller: Global Medical Benefits
- TKThis guy named "John Watson" called me literally seconds after I had done an internet inquiry on health insurance. He gave me this line about how he could get me all sorts of coverage including dental for "only $124.99!" He said I had to make the decision soon because once the "5%" of people in NY were getting the offer, they would move their deal to California. I told him I was not the type of person to make rash decisions about my money and asked him to send me an email with his details. Since he managed to get my phone number, he sure as heck should have been able to have access to my email. He said he was unable to do that (thank the lord) and gave me this number- 1-(800)-979-4870 x4204 . It is absolute garbage and the reviews that say otherwise are from the company themselves.

- JK| 1 replyIt is a discussion like this I was searching for. Thank you everybody for posting. I experienced exactly everything as stated above - the 5% of New Yorkers thing.. act fast. . etc etc. I even spoke to Jody Adams, who then transferred me to Michael Underdo. I wanted to research the company and am thankful that this came up!

- Erica replies to JKI got the same calls. This is a new contact person - Kathryn. I was going to call back as I am looking for medical coverage but thanks to all the postings - I will not be calling back.
- glowOMG! I just got this call from Jody Adams 800-97904870 ext: 4213 saying they accept all pre-existing medical health. I have been looking for medical insurance however, I haven't signed up with anything. I wonder how they find out my home number. I was almost gonna call her back but, decided to look up the phone number to see if this an insurance. Good thing I read your comments. I will lock this number on my phone so I won't answer it. And I live in California

- Anonym| 2 repliesThis exectly happend to me. I was TOTALY suckered into it and feel like an idiot. Are they going to steal my identity? I gave them my SS like an IDIOT. I'm just trying to find affordable insurance and its sickening that there are people out there like this. I am so upset I can't even believe this! I don't know what to do now? Call them to cancel, call my bank? Please help if you signed up as well and want out! I spoke to Kevin Coaches (800) 979-4870 ext. 4207. He seemed so caring and genuine!

- RE from CA replies to Anonym| 1 replyWow!!! All of the posts, except for "JR" mirror my experience. They called while I was still on-line. I had one heck of a time just trying to determine what the name of the business is. Robert Silva was definitely a "call-center rep" (but sounded more like a used-car salesman) (no offense if you sell cars :=) and could not answer specific questions about their "product". Janelle (supervisor) ran the same line. I have not been able to locate Global Med Care Direct Med (800-979-4870) on the net, which is their name via the outgoing message after hours. There is something wrong when you cannot find a "business" of this magnitude on the net, in addition to their refusing reasonable request for company and product information. I seriously doubt their legitimacy. I may be a target, but I will not become a victim. I wish you the best, "New York Sucker". Thank you all for your posts.
- RE from CA replies to RE from CAFollowing up on my previous post, in all fairness, I feel compelled to disclose that I received a call, today, from Elijah (Enrollment Supervisor) at Global Med Care Direct Med, providing me with the following website which contains information relative to the various health care plans. Type the following into your search engine "Address" bar, do NOT do it as a Google search: http://www.global-mb.com. The Global Med Benefits home page will appear. Click on "Plan Benefits" at the top, right, corner of the page. Scroll down to view the different plan benefits. I have to say that Elijah was very helpful in answering all of my questions. He also wanted me to enroll, sooner, than later, due to enrollment caps on the group plan, but did not try to over-sell, which I appreciated. So, "New York Sucker", you may not be as bad off as you thought.

- you people are idiots!| 3 repliesI got the ADV 500 for my mother and father from John Watson and my parents love it and love me for getting it. So you people who are writing this nonsense about Global Med Benefits should be ashamed of yourself for trying to disclaim this company for no reason whatsoever. You should get a life or better yet get some affordable insurance you idiots. So Global Med, you see you can't please everybody in the world but John Watson pleased me and my parents, so keep up the good work John Watson, because it's people like them that killed Christ Jesus for no reason!!!! Keep your head up and keep doing a great job for the little people in the world. Global Med Benefits rocks!!!!!!

- KK replies to JRJR - Can you tell me more about this company and the type of medical coverage you have. I am concerned and in this stituation of not having any health insurance and needing medical attention. Do you have issues finding doctors to accept this dicount plan? I'm in NYC and want to make sure that this is legit. Insurance in NYC is very high, even for the basic emergency room coverage. About $150/month for emergency room coverage only and the min for monthly limited care is $320/mo...that is an insane price to pay...
Thanks.
