I called the number back and it said that the caller was the Special Olympics looking for donations.

called this morning... don't know who it is or why they called
or how they got my number but I Don't deal with random strangers
over the phone... EVER! How many ways can I make that clear!

Received 2 calls from this number which appeared as "Toll Free call" on caller id.  The caller said he was a paid fundraiser calling on behalf of MADD.

Now they are Mothers against Drunk Friving?????   message said to call back 8am-11pm m-f at 1-800-981-5526....  'wait 'till get a load of me.'..............

Receive calls from this number often, never answer because caller ID says 800 Service.  No clue on who this is and don't care.  LEAVE me alone.

Got a call from this number and the female caller claimed she was sponsor for MADD,REALLY---REALLY----REALLY now!!!!      I am MADD now!!!       I need to go out & have some drinks!!!

After she said NO I told her I am a bartender, am for drunk driving and that I belong to DAMM Drunks Against Mad Mother'fers don't call back.

I don't drink just hate telemarketers.

Sad part is that I used to support what they were doing.  I think MADD has gone way beyond their initial mission, and moved toward encroaching on people's rights.  I don't support drunk driving, but getting the legal limit lowered to .08 successfully thoughout the country should have been the end of this organization.

I received a call from this number two days ago & again this morning.  I did not answer, as I have caller ID.  I'm so sick of these unwanted calls!!!

Is it just me or do these "Once, good charities" become a little disengenuous and greedy over the years??? I stopped altogether donating. Obviously the MORE they get, the MORE they want. I am ALL for helping needy folks; but I refuse to donate to NATIONAL, too-big-for-their-own-good, harassing organizations. And I don't even think most of the money goes to help the needy. After all.....they are paying hundreds if not thousands of telemarketers and bookkeepers and top dogs now. You aren't giving to needy; you're paying their wages. I only give to LOCAL people I know personally who are needy; that way I know "who" got it, "why" they got it, and if it's even "legitimate" or not.

I got a call from this number saying she is calling for M.A.D.D I told her I was hit by a  immigrant drunk driver just when I turned 19 with my whole life ahead of me was changed he died on impact and I was disabled for life just as I was going into law enforcement my dreams as a child, I told her m.a.d.d did nothing for me and I got nothing as he was a illegal immigrant never even knew a name car had no tags, told her I'm still struggling because of that drunk and she said a quick sorry now can you please donate.....

Answered this call whose number showed up on caller ID as "not available".  It was a magazine sales pitch from MADD.  Nice lady from Texas wanting me to subscribe or renew a subscription to a magazine which earns MADD a commission.  I asked if they had a website, she said yes, but the magazine program isn't advertised on their site, instead they like to make personal calls at least once a year.

It would help that if they want me they let the phone ring more than 4 times . And all they want is money . Don't give your money to these people because the actual charity only gets a small amount of it(like 2%) . The rest of the money goes to pay for the service to call you begging for money .

The call came up on the caller ID as 800 services. The gentleman that I spoke to said he was calling from Mothers of drunk drivers wasn't asking for a donation just wanted a minute of my time. The 1st question I asked him was where he got my number. He said some kind of consumer report I asked which one he didn't know. I did explain to him I was on the national do not call list and he should check that list before calling people. He was actually very nice apologized and promised to take my number off the calling list. I am reporting them anyway I didn't sign up for the DNC for nothing.

1 800 981 2581 calls all the time, never any one there, can't leave a message, want this number blocked.
