9/28/07  I received a total of 5 calls in about 10 days. The person (Theresa Bartlett in Alabama) who had my cell phone number prior to me getting it in February has had a *lot* of calls from collection agencies, movie rental stores, etc. I didn't get harassed by Oxford, I just called them back today (this is the first time I turned on this phone in 2 weeks so all 5 msgs were waiting for me) and asked them to take me off their calling list. This has worked with at least 2 other collection agencies so I expect it to work with them also.

We bought a new vacation house and received a new phone number. Almost immediately, Oxford Management Services started calling a few times a day saying that Tanya Francis owed money. We said there was nobody here by that name as we just received the phone number. We asked that the number be removed from their list; they said they would. The calls still came in daily. We returned to our permanent home but checked our vacation home calls daily. Oxford was still at it. We called again explaining their error. We were told that there was no way to remove a number once it has been entered into their system. Months and many calls later to them, someone finally said they would replace Tanya's number with 000-000-0000 and that should put an end to it. The calls stopped for a few months. They've started again. Listening to the answering machine, it says that "this call is for Tanya. If you are not Tanya hang up immediately." Of course, the answering machine doesn't hang up. They than say " since you did not hang up you are confirming that you are Tanya." Then they go through the daily routine.

12/29/2008 -- Oxford Management (800) 982-6096 keeps calling saying we owe Macy's money and they are trying to collect a debt. They are calling everyday and asking us to pay...they also ask us to confirm our S.S.# too.  We hung up but they keep calling.  This company is trying to get stupid people to pay them.  Wonder how many people are really falling for this SCAM.

Said that he could not give me any information about the call since I was not part of the Accounts Receivable department. I laughed and said fine and good bye.
