- sam| 3 repliesA man called stating that I had won a prize in a contest for a new Ford Explorer. I was told I had either won the Ford Explorer or one of three other prizes. He continually told me congratulations and asked questions to confirm my street address. He wanted to set up an appointment for a man to come out to my business and have me scratch off a ticket to tell what I had won. He keep pressuring for me to agree to a date and time and then said I had to answer three questions and he would turn me over to a manager to confirm the call. I hung up. He called back immediately and I let the call go to voice mail. He left a message telling me to call him back whenever I was interested in claiming my prize. He left no number for me to call. The first call came up on caller id as unknown name and number. The second time it said unknown name but the number 801/379-2000 came up on caller id

- THIS NUMBER IS A PAYPHONE IN SALT LAKEThis number is a payphone in Salt Lake City, which cannot receive incoming calls. Why would a legitimate company use payphones? Obviously these is an interstate racket, either bent upon robbing old people or stealing their identity information. BEWARE! Tell the caller they can meet you at your home on a certain day, and then have the police there when the guy is supposed to show!!!

- Kate_WA| 4 repliesJust got a call from this number. Caller stated that he was with IMS, and they had done a business drawing and my business had come up as a winner. I was due to get two gift certificates to either Red Lobster or Olive Garden. When I asked what I had to do to receive the certificates, they said that their sponsor, Federal Savings, is new to my area, and using this as a way to get their name out. They would make an appointment to come and give me the certificates - he then tried to confirm my address. At this point I said I was not interested and he pushed hard on what I wasn't interested in. He asked several times, I repeated only that I wasn't interested and eventually hung up, since he wouldn't end the call.
- Caller: IMS is what was stated
