I've started getting calls from this number. They never leave a message. I am hoping they'll tire of this and go away.

The call is from Morning Star, a collection agency. I suspect you have some upaind bills that have gone to collections. "XO" is just a telecommunication company (like AT&T), not the name of the party who is calling.

I called bk they are just trying to sell something

Morningstar is not a collection agency. It's like an online Wall Street Journal. They want to sell subscriptions to their online mag. Morning Star is a reputable and highly thought of investment tool, but why they're doing this junk makes me wonder. Also makes me not want to by. Jeez.

I received the same missed call on my cell as I use that for anything I sign up for online. I did sign up for a yearly subscription for morningstar.com to track and manage investments.  It was about a year ago so it must be renewal time

They claimed they wanted to sell me a 2 year subscription to a Morningstar newsletter but I got suspicious when they asked for my credit card number. Reputable organizations don't ask for credit card information over the phone.

I picked up once and got a fairly pushy sales call; said no thanks.  

But they seem to keep trying, as I see this number about twice a week.

Very surprising, given Morningstar's (prior) reputation as a serious investment-information company...

I get this call on my caller ID , it is a Morning Star thing but comes up as being no message left. I called them to tell them to leave our credit card alone and to stop sending e-mailing about investment up dates. I get my phone bill and I was charged for calling them. Didn't think about it being a charged call...but they seem to be able to call me as much as they want for free.

I keep getting the phone numbers calls also now everyday. Sometimes in the afternoon and sometimes in the morning. I am a teacher and bought a couple of investment books for my classes. Anyone know how to make them stop? Or do I have to file a complaint to my state's attorney general? A couple of months ago my e-mail account was bombarded with e-mails every hour for a seminar on top of this. I too thought this was a reputable organization, I guess I was mistaken.

They are soliciting for Morningstar web site from the call I got. Selling discounts on publications

In my case, it was scary. This call came to my office phone and when I answered I can hear a woman's voice crying or screaming. I got scared. Since I dint know the number at the time, I called home to check if everythign was okay with my family. Later I realised its from MorningStar after reading the above posts. Good grief !!!

Thanks for the tips everyone! I kept seeing the number and don't like answering when I don't recognize it...especially when they don't leave a message! I subscribe to Morningstar online, and must say I don't appreciate them calling my mobile phone.

I can't believe such a reputable company is doing such a thing. They've woken me up on multiple occasions when I did not have to go to work. This has to stop...

I do subscribe to Morningstar so I assume it's renewal time after reading the post.

someone from this number keeps calling very demanding on talking to a piticular person here at work , when asked what this is concerning they hang up...not very professional at all . I wish they would stop calling the first time you say NO!

I just got my first call from 801-413-5585 and like most of you, it was on my cell phone.  I don't like getting solicitations on my cell.  Anyway, I answered the call and they just hung up on me.  I'm happy to see everyone's comments here because now I know who and why they were calling.

They call me every other day even after I told them I wasn't intrested, today I got fed up and reported them to the do not call people, I have had it.

I get these calls from Morningstar, too. Their not junk.  When you create an account on their website, you probably gave them your phone number and you definitely agreed to their TOS.
