Received this call a few times, no voicemail, and I don't answer it

It's just the BYU Telefund - no big deal.  Just answer and let them know you don't want to donate anything (or do if you like, whatever) and they will take your number off the list.

Calls frequently, caller ID states:  "Brigham Young".  I never answer since it is my work number.

They call me about twice a day and leave no messages. Today I finally answered and they just hung up.

Left a voicemail - deep breathing.  Creeped out!

BYU Telefund

The person who called me wanted my credit card information over the phone to make a donation--he didn't want me to send a check.  That always sends red flag warnings for me.  I don't believe it is really BYU, they would know better than to do this kind of stunt.  I think it was a scam.  Just the week before we received a letter from LDS Philanthropies BYU with an official letterhead.  That was really from BYU, I don't believe this call was.

It really is from BYU, from the LDS Philanthropies BYU Telefund, specifically. (All on-campus numbers are 801-422-xxxx, for further evidence.) You can always ask to be taken off, or remove or change your contact info on the Alumni site.

It's the BYU Telefund. I just received a large inheritance and thought, what the heck. I gave the whole thing to them! I'd do it again too.

No message
