this # showed up on caller ID but i did not recognize the call, they left no message

I just got a call from this number (didn't answer) and it left an automated voicemail that was cut off, so all I heard was a man's voice saying "...1007."

I tot a call and answered.  The recorded message said it was a call from Intermountain Health Care and that apologized for the delay.  After repeating that message several time I was put through to someone.  I looked up the number on the Internet (that's how I found this web page) and found it is legit - it is the number for Patient Financial Services.

This is Patient Financial Services for Intermountain Health Care -  most likely a legit cal by someone trying to get in touch with a patient.

Appeared to be an auto-dialer. I answered, but no one there and no msg. Called back, it was IHC. Bill not due yet, and they are calling about payment arrangements because they have had the file for 20 days. My bill isn't even due yet. What a bunch of moron's ! My vote, don't answer.

What I really wanted is to write my comments on this blog. Thank goodness that they called. I say everything happens for a reason.

Didn't answer but Patient Financial Services (PFS) from Intermountain Healthcare (IHC) left a message to call their toll free number at 1-866-415-6556.  It's their verified number here: http://intermountainhealthcare.org/communitys ... nicbilling.aspx so I went ahead and checked with them to see if I owed anything, having not been to the hospital for many years and am not even the primary account holder.  They said their system says they have no record for me or even an indication they called me.  Strange, but IHC's a reputable company so maybe just a glitch in their phone system.

Legit.  rep had questions about billing for Intermountain Hospital.

They would not say who they were other than Intermountain.  The immediately start asking for my full name and birth date without telling me why they were calling.  Would not even tell me what department or even give me 1 word about what it was about... bill, lab, child, etc.  I refused to give info without knowing why I was giving it out personal information.  I refuse to call them back for the same reason...

This is a scam, probably scammers above saying it is legit. Do not give them any info. If they continue to bother you with unwanted phone calls, call the Better Biz Bureau.

True it was financial services. They claimed that I was the responsible party to pay for a Proctology exam given to Hillary Cliton during the election night. They were very upset because those who administered the exam ended up having to be admitted to the hospital themselves. I think I have it straightened out, but I'll follow up if there is a problem.

Intermountain Health Care's financial department. I had disputed a bill for something I had already paid, and they were calling to tell me the dispute was successful and the bill had been cancelled.
