caller id blocked; no message

Called at 6:30 am left no message

This was verizon wireless tier 2 support, calling to help with a ticket i opened.  they left a message.

called my cell phone at 1130 PM  on Oct 3, 2013 and left no message, when I called back a message came on that said "Thank you for calling Verizon Wireless, please dial 800..blah blah blah for customer service. I tried it from my house phone too, same recording!

This number is infact from Verizon Wireless tech support.... I get return calls from them on this line. Maybe they are miss dialing return calls.

It's Verizon customer support.  Probably a call related to a requested change in plan, or upgrade, or something along that line.  Why they make the caller ID private is beyond me.

Second call from this line with only 3 heavy breaths and then a hang up. Today, I could hear other voices in the background but the first call was later in the day and it was quiet.

The number is from Verizon but there is a group that is spoofing the caller ID to trick you out of revealing account information. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO. Your best bet is to hang up and call Verizon back yourself to check on why they are calling.

It is Verizon Wireless Tech support (according to the guy that called) but how and why they called is beyond me because 1, I don't have Verizon and 2, they were asking for someone I've never heard of. Strange.

Verizon support calling back to tell me that the trouble I reported is actually due to an outage that they are working on.  I didn't answer because all my calls are dropping from the outage.  They left a voicemail.
