I received a charge to my checking account of $44.95, although I never ordered anything from them.  They could not tell me who they were, indicating they have numerous affiliates.  I called them and still don't know who they are or what name they used when and if I inquired on them.
They indicated they would refund it within 10 days.  But it is disturbing because this was an unauthorized transaction.

I got exactly the same charge from this number, that's how I've found your post by googling to find out more about the charge.

Keep getting a charge of $44.95 each month and having a hard time disputing it.

I got a charge on my credit card for $44.95 from 801-705-5325 Real Estate Promo. I have never heard of them before and it was an unauthorized transaction. Disputed it. Beware !!!

I got a charge of $44.95 from this realestate promoter.  They will not issue a refund.  They said I had to cancel within 3 days...but I didn't order anything.

I got charges on my american express card. I do not know how they able to get my credit card and personal info and to top of that i got email from them today... read below... this company must be running fraud..

Real Estate Promoter

We have been charged twice as well, from our checking account.  These guys suck.

I also was charged the $44.95.  I dug around and found that it was coming from a place called Repromote and that they were charging me for a website that I agreed to purchase and have them "host" for me.  I have NEVER agreed to anything like this, but it appears to have somehow been tacked onto a trial membership from RealtyTrac.  I also fell victim to a magazine subscription I didn't know I was agreeing to for $39.95.  However, I was never informed of EITHER charge and even though I cancelled my Realty Trac membership two days after I opened it, there was no mention of any affiliates or other memberships.  I am furious!  I called Repromote and demanded my money back.  We'll see.

I just had the same issue happen w/ this Company Real Estate Promoter.

I ordered RealtyTrac Trial and canceled it within 5 days.  RealtyTrac gave my American Express card number to Real Estate Promoter without my authorization.

They posted three charges within ten days: 44.95, 44.95 and 39.95.  They told me the same story as J Patel above.  American Express made a mistake and should have been charging me for the past three months.  That is why I am seeing three charges at once.

I am having American Express investigate them for Fraud.

I like to Report them and RealtyTrac to the Attorney General and I would like to organize a class action lawsuit.  I like to get some of the victims of this fraudulent to join me in filing a complaint.  My email address is:  marwanz3490@yahoo.com

They said that I signed on for a free trial with one or their partners or something like that.

The only time I signed for something was with realtytrack.com but I canceled my subscription within 7 days.

I think Realtytrack is playing some fishy business practices here.

Anyway, I call that Realestatepromoter  and they say they are going to refund my money and they better do.

I have received the same charges on my credit card.  These guys are scam artists.  I received three charges on my American Express for 44.95, 44.95 and 39.95.  They agreed to refund one of the three and are refusing to refund the rest.

I am reporting them to Attorney General of state of Utah and Consumer Affair Complaint division.  In my case the company that leaked my credit card number to Real Estate Promoter was RealtyTrac.  I did nor authorize them to do that.

Giving your private data without your authorization is a serious offense.  I reported Realty Trac to the Federal Trade Commission.  

Don't let them get away with it.  If enough victims like us report them they will get investigated by the government and get slammed with a fine.  Fight back please - I am.

You can do that electronically on the web site.  You can submit the same report against both companies.  You have to provide tour contact info.

Your report will be entered into a National Database that is searchable by thousands of enforcement officers throughout the country.  This can collectively give  a picture of the size of the abuse.

Another place to report them is the Internet Crime Complaint Center (http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx).  

Another is www.ripoffreport.com  -  many class action lawyers monitor these for excessive complaints.

I called those people at realestatepromoter and they said that I signed in with one of their partners,(they meant realtytrac) which I did not. I am not dumb to do that.

If I indeed signed in for something was because they deceived me. But I would  have never agree to let them  bill my credit card for some service that I dont know anything about. To be honest, I don't even know what realestate promotes do or what kind of services they provide.

I also talked to realtytrac and I told them the the same  they are deceiving people and selling our info. and on top of that they are selling our credit card info.   And the person or company  who is  receiving our info. is  cold blooded enough to charge our credit card. Like we are dumb and ignorants that we are not going to notice it.

I am planning to call those idiots until they refund my money and I am going to make sure the dont bill me again. I also planning to call my bank and file a complain.

I am unable to get a refund!!  I was charged $49.95 and I never even new about this.  Apparently when I signed up for the free trial of Realty Trac they automatically signed me up for this website as well - without my knowledge!!  What a scam!  They said they built me a website so they have fulfilled their obligations.  How were you able to get a refund?

I just discovered REPROMOTEOREM charged my AmX $44.95 on 1/29/09 and $39.95 on 2/3/09.  I had an account with RealtyTrac but cancelled it last month.
