I received an odd call from a person who said her name was Liz, and she said she just wanted to know about our home safety program. She asked if we had smoke detectors, a fire escape plan, and other home safety devices. But she very quickly ended the call without even stating for whom she was conducting this call for. When I tried to call the number back, there was no response.

Got a call from this number today on my cell phne.  Google tells me it is "Elizabeth Radford" in Springville, UT.  I know no such person.

This stupid person tried calling me again twice today. >:(  All times I was away from my phone.  Leave me alone!

Said I had won a drawing that I had entered.  I was stupid enough to give the person my email address so  I could get "all the details."  I feel like a moron.  Luckily, however, she did not ask for my cc information.  Though I don't think I'm stupid enough to have given that to someone over the phone.

Okay.  I know what the deal is now...

Apparently this is one of many alarm system companies that try to get people to work for them during the summer selling their alarm systems door to door.
The good news: If they call and tell you you get to have free dinner on them, that's actually true.  It's not a scam.  I've done my research.

The bad news:  If you want the free dinner, you'll have to listen to their sales pitch about why you should go knock on doors for hours on end this summer.

Well, I hate companies like this.  But, the best way to stick it to them, I figure, is to just eat their food...for free...listen in silence, and then split at the soonest opportunity.  Bon Apetit!

I got this call on my husband's cell. I saved it as a do not answer #.

Also got phone call from this number today, saying that I had won a free steak dinner from a drawing that I had entered. Wanted my email address to send the coupon to, but could not give me any information on what drawing it was that I entered. Don't give this person any information!

I received a phone call tonight from a female "just wanting to ask a couple of questions" about fire detectors and CO2 detectors.  Then she tried to verify my wife's name and I ended the call.

Got the call yesterday about fire escape plan, yada yada..then told me that I could get a free meal.  I have heard of these types of companies before.  My question is this.  How are they getting our numbers and shouldn't this fall under the "Do Not Call" registry.  These type of calls really annoy me.  They called back this morning probably wanting more info.  I might report them.  I do not like these types of business practices.

Some lady named Elizabeth Radford called my parents from this number and asked for me.  No idea who it is or why she would call there.

Then she asked for my wife's name- 'just to verify'???  If she knew my wife's name she wouldn't have needed to ask! She then said she would call back with reservation details as soon as they were made.  The Phone # was listed as coming from Springville, UT.  I doubt I'll ever hear back from her, but figured that her knowing I had a CO₂Detector wasn't much of a security risk }҉҉҉҉{
