Person asked if I had computer problems and wanted to help fix them. Used profanity after I asked to be put on do-not-call list. Terrible Indian accent - almost impossible to understand. Very staticy connection - they could barely hear me either. If you call them back the number is not real. They called me many, many times and there is no one there.

Just got a call.  He said his name is Rodney.  Yeah right! with that distinctively Indian accent.  Obviously a scam.  And he said that they had received a COMPLAINT!  from whom?  what is the name of your company, I asked.  Beware of this scam!

Same experience, said he was from some company with "Global" in the name.  Difficult to understand.  Wanted to know if my computer was switched on.  Said their had been a report of a problem via Microsoft error reports, but he isn't with Microsoft.  When I challenged him with "do not call" list he said "Let me tell you how I can help you..."  I ended up hanging up on him.

Have called my cell three times over the past two weeks. Each time I have to say "hello" two or three times before they start talking (dead giveaway for a marketing call). As others have indicated, a guy with a strong Indian accent says something about calling in regards to my computer problems (I don't have any) and gives the name of a company but I can't understand him. Last time, I laid into him for calling my cell and costing me minutes and he hung up before I got going good :-) Judging from other posters, seems to be targeting New Mexico in particular.

Man with thick East Indian accent called tonight, said he knew we had a problem with our computer.  Then he said "I need you to log on to your computer."  Then he said "I can see that you have a problem with your computer, I need you to log on."  We did not comply and just hung up the phone.  Earlier today I did call Qwest (now CenturyLink) with a technical issue about my internet service.  MAYBE his call was a coincidence or maybe he's hacked into the QWEST computer system.

They claimed to be working for Microsoft, Dell, and HP and had received a report that 40% of my microsoft file were corrupted. When I wouldn't do what the woman wanted and expressed my concerns about their operation I was transferred to a supervisor. When I told him I was not going to do anything until I investigated the company the supervisor said "Good-by".

Got this call a couple times finally answered it to tell them to stop calling when a nice indian fella told me, me being in IT for a big company, that i was having windows issues on my pc.  Knowing this was going to be a total scam let him talk to me about it.  he started to describe where the ctrl key is on my keyboard and then told me to do something but i couldnt understand him.  Finally got fed up and asked what issues he was seeing and of course he hung up.  TOTAL SCAM.  My guess is he will walk you through to the command prompt and ask you to enter ipconfig into your command prompt to get your IP Address and from there run some exploits to get either control of you computer and install a trojan or keylogger on it or someother shady stuff.  PLEASE DO NOT DO A SINGLE THING HE SAYS.

Unfortunately i am sure he will be successful with people who dont know anything about computers

Got a call from this phone number today.  The man said he was calling about my computer problems.  Now, I do have a problem with my computer, but it is nothing that can be fixed by this guy...my problem is that I want a new computer!  Anyways, as soon as he said that, I said I don't have any computer problems, he tried to tell me that I reported these problems.  (I didn't). At that time, I also told him to take me off his list.  So, I again told him that I don't have any computer problems, and that if I did, I would have my husband, who is an IT guy would be fixing them. I again told him to take me off his list, and he hung up.

Got a call today.  Dudes name was Philip.  He said he was calling in response to the trouble I was having with my home computer.  I said  "I am having trouble with my home computer?"  He said yes and he was returning the call to this number.  I said oh.  (Maybe wife or kids had call which would be strange because they would have called me).  I said who are you calling.  He said Philip.  I said you are calling Philip.  He said no I am Philip.   I could barely understand what he was saying.  Finally I said "Sorry buddy some one gave you the wrong number".  He hung up.

Called again this afternoon.  I had looked up this number before so I knew that it was going to be a tele-marketer or something Similar.  The gentleman on the other end had a really thick Indian accent and said that I had some bad applications running on my computer that he'd like to help me repair.  I said that I didn't have any computer issues.  He then replied, "Oh, that's what you think!".   I, again, stated that I have no computer issues and asked that I be put on the 'do not call list' unless he has our permission to do business with him.  I proceeded to hang up on him without giving him a chance for further reply.

I got a call on my cell phone today, November 28, 2011.  The guy said he was "Rodney Parker".  He had an East Indian accent and was trying to convince me to turn on my computer.   He was "almost" begging me to follow his instructions.   I am not a fool!  Why in the world would anyone provide services for free?   I asked him a few questions but he was very convincing and didn't falter.   In the end, he gave up as I was "playing him"!!!!!! Don't fall for this scammer.   India was to be the next superpower but COME ON!! DON'T SCAM PEOPLE.  WE AREN'T FOOLS!
