Received this call at workplace saying I took out a loan and that I was going to be arrested when I asked company name said drnc dispute resolution center which has been never heard of.

I got the same type of call on Friday and again today (Monday).  I reported them to the local police and also called the federal trade commission and reported them.

Hello I just received a call from this same number I could not understand a word they were saying which I did understand the numbers they were calling out to me which was they knew my social security number some how.. I asked If I could speak to an American so I could understand with what they were saying then they hung up on me I am kind of spooked out since they know my social security number. What should I do since they have all this detailed Info on me?

It is a scam watch your credit report and report it

This is  a scam. When they call asked fof a attorney's bar number. If they state they are suing you  by law they must give you the court it's filed with, the attorney's name and bar number. They won't. And if they say are law enforcement tney have to give their agency and jurisdiction, again they won't. Big scam.

i got the same call today they would not quit calling really spooked me

I have been receiving the same call. India accent with an american name. They have been calling me everyday. Than I received the same call from a different number 508-499-8523. Both of these people are calling me at the same time. They stated that this is a legal matter and there are charges filed against my social security number.

Lisa Brown called from Legal Invetigations Department and said had information regarding my name, address and since I wouldn't call them back or answer when they called, I was going to be dragged to the court house. Anything that happened was my fault. She did wish me good luck and God Bless before she hung up. Another gentleman called from the same number. They are always foreign sounding and there is always a ton of background noise.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

ABC News released an investigative report on this scam in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

This is what I did.  I went to my local police department and an officer called them and tried to verify information.  Since then the calls have stopped.  That was on 1/7/2013

I also received a call from this number stating that my social security number was under investigation, and that the sherif would be at myb door. The party on the other line called repeatedly. There is also another number that has been calling me. The Afican person on the other side said he was calling from the Attorney Generals Office that I owed $432.00. He verified the last four digets of my social, address, and name.

I received a call from this number this morning, I am not a nice guy when you call me with [***], I know all of my debts and there a only a few, nand they are cared for on a monthly  basis, I have NO outstanding loan or anything else, they have [***] with the wrong person, now I'm after them, don't be afraid, get mad and if it no a legitimate debt [***] them back, don't get mad get justice!

I have a calls from this number plus three other different numbers reported it to my local police they said if you get anymore calls dont answer your phone dint reply to voice mails. When I got the first call from this number they left a voice mail said her name was Lisa brown and there was a lawsuit against me. So I called the number asked to speak to her and of course she was busy. Talked to someone named kelly Smith I asked her when was this so called lo deposited into my account she couldnt give me the exact day just that is wad between the years 2008 and 2012. She had asked me if I had a lawyer said no the next day I called back and said just to let you know I have a attorney now and she said why do you have a attorney wete your attorney I said I don't think so. They will try and scare you they will tell you that you will be arrested and there will be a block on your social security. Oh yea also I stopped answering my phone so then a man left a voice mail saying I was running from the situation and if I didn't return his call thete would be a chapter 9 filed against me. Ok good luck on that since there is no chapter 9 told attorney that he couldn't believe they said that. Anyway just what for this number people don't answer your phone if you see this number.

number keeps calling me saying i took out a loan.I did not i am unemployed and have no checking accounts.He was very rude told me to get a lawyer that the cops are picking me up tomorrow and im being sued!! what a joke my credit sucks and i am unable to get a credit card or even a loan.please shut these people down.

Rec'd a call from this number twice today within 20 mins of each other.  I did take out a loan and have a payoff date of 1/28/13.  I don't beleive they would have someone from India call me.  Her English is very bad and she has the audacity to threaten me!!  I have not returned the call and won't.  I will let them sweat it out.  I don't usually answer my phone anyway if I don't recognize the number.  I read everyone else's comments and to hear that they have your SSN# is frightening!!!  I would suggest to each and everyone that is being harrassed by these people to tread lightly and if you have to cuss them out to get your point accross, by all means, go for it!  Be safe and knowledgable.

Do not give them any information.They've been calling my daughters phone and trying the same scam.Report them to the police and get a case number.I called them back and the lady actually hung up on me.When I tried back later,I didn't even get a recording with the company name.I've tracked it to Jacksonville Vermont with a population of 222.

These people have been calling my daughters phone trying to get me.I've traced the phone back to Jacksonville Vermont with a population of 222.I did a search of the businesses there and ther is no business with that phone number.Start reporting this to the police and get a report number with the date and everything so that you can keep track.Call the social security office and see if they'll be able to do anything.especially if you think they have your number.I don't panic anymore because I've had a lot of these scams.My credit sucks so I don't know why they're trying it on me.
