- Fed UpCollection agency. They try to make it sound like some sort of "official" action or office, but they are not. They are trying to collect on accounts that in many cases are several years old and for whom they have no actual documentation of any "loan", etc. Most, if not all these "bad" accounts have already been written off by the original lender long ago, and these collection bottom-feeder have bought the accounts from them in order to get a cut if the debt is ever paid. They will use "ghost", or "spoof" phone numbers with area codes from all over the country in order to trick people into answering, including making false threats of "legal" action.
Bottom line: if you don't recognize the number, or are not expecting a call, don't answer.- Call type: Debt collector

- Cathy JarrellI received a phone call from this number yesterday Sun 3/16. I was working so they left a message stating I needed to contact them that fraud have been placed against my name and social security number. They said I needed to contact them before I got served a summons at my work or home and if I didn't then there would be nothing they could do about the fraud charges. Wow, I just had to change my bank account because someone hacked into my computer. Beware of emails from pay pal and craigslist also, that is one way they are getting to you.
