Well I'm not *sure* but when they called me I *thought* I heard them utter a threat against me or the president, etc...maybe I'll have to make a report to the secret service or fbi about that...but again, I'm not 100% sure I heard it but I *think* it was a threat...

I ALSO got threatened!!  A guy said "This is bigger than you can imagine and you have no idea who you're dealing with."  I asked if he was one of those guys in jail who they hire to do telemarketing.  lol.  He was verrrry nasty and called me a moron, etc.  After the zillionth call, I finally said, "Oh really?  All I have to do is give you my credit card number and I can have a free trip??  Then let me go get my number for you.  Okay, here's my number (totally made up).  Then, when there was a problem with the number, I kept saying "oops, sorry, I guess you wrote that down wrong, I said ______ (new number with slight variation).  haha

Trying to block this number using Call Screen won't work as they are spoofing the number. The number that shows up is out of service, so when you try to do a *60 to block it, it's not a valid number and therefore the phone company can't add it to your block list.

You should tell the credit card co. that you did not authorize them to bill your card, you may have offered it as a security deposit (nudge, wink) for a service but if no service was given this is fraud.
You should not be charges for fraudulent charges against the bank's card.
YES it's the banks card, not yours.
Read your agreement with your bank.
Obviously these crooks are getting paid by Visa of whomever... they must be aware of who does it. It's the credit card cos resposibility to guard against this abuse.
Fight, dispute the transaction, fight.... you can win.
Only when all who get stung fight will the credit co's clean these guys out!
          good luck

Call your credit card after you get your bill and tell them that it is not your purchase and your card is in your posession. If they ask if you have given your number to anyone, tell them eveytime you use it. Don't mention what happened. The onus is on the vendor to produce a signed copy of your imprinted card receipt. The credit card company can't charge you for a purchase if they can't provide you with a signed docket. The issuing bank will remove the money from the vendors account.

People! Once and for all, DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO OR MONEY OF ANY KIND TO PEOPLE WHO WOULD SELL YOU A VACATION... OR ANYTHING!!! Most of the time it is not legit, and you will have lost your money to a bunch of fraudsters.

With all of the legitimate websites out there offering vacations at cut rates, why would you settle for the destination of THEIR CHOICE, anyway??!!

If you want a vacation, go to the honest, advertised, established sites and watch the sales.  It will be a better deal, and you will help to stem the flow of harrassment calls, making your home more restful, too!

It's up to us all to stop this.  Pass it on.

When will these end!!??  I know some who are threatened by those on the other line and from the same number!!  And these are kid's that are getting these calls!!  I hope they can somehow find out who they are ehind all these phone scams!!

here is the best thing to do:
(this might take you a couple of minutes but it will be worth it)

just go on with the presentation, get the agent information, and also the company information. they are expecting people to be scared of the promotion, and people thinking that the offer sounds to good, and they are trained to get passed this.

after you get this information visit this site www.BBB.com and reprt them

they use many different company names, only one is registered , also many websites, get the main office adress act as if you were interested and they will spill all the information you need. they are supposed to add the people who dont want to be disturbed to a list but based on this reports on this site it looks like they dont do it. and thats trouble for them.

      **** NOW ***
regarding the number on the caller ID, that can be changed anytime, is just a display number they make it a local number so we answer their calls thinking is someone local, not from out of state.

if you dont mind taking a timeshare tour (thats what they are really selling) then you do get a good deal. the cruise has many hidden fees, so dont use it. and fight them for a lower price the best i have gotten is $300
