Got a call from this number just a few minutes ago.  Let it go to voicemail.  No response left to voicemail.  Ever since I got a call from Volt Delta I've received more robocalls than ever.  Must be some connection.

I too also got a call from this number last night. My Caller ID said East Thetford, VT. 1-802-727-4633.
I/we have our answering machine set up a special way because we get these calls all of the time, usually "Credit Card Svcs." Rachel, etc.... "Med. Alert", etc....
The way I have our answering machine setup is, I recorded that old telephone/computer tone (you know the one that screeches "dooo, deeee, dooo" then I pause for about 5 seconds before I use my usual recorded message. It works! I get half of the bothersome calls now, the telemarketers and other scums computers automatically think it's a wrong number and hang up.
I actually thought that this may be somebody that we know, since I used to live in VT and have friends there.

Based on the other posts here , it sounds like another one of those bogus medical alert systems trying to contact my mother.
I am not about to return their calls since their numbers are often spoofed. Besides entertaining them just isn't worth it. I figure they should consider it a privilege to have the chance to speak to the answering system.

Medic alert scam. Get at least two per day. Always with a different, probably spoofed number. Can't block all the numbers. It's pointless. So this time I listened to the message, pressed 1, and when they came on I yelped stop the spam. They hung up, but they'll be back.

Me too. Ring, ring, ring,  press 1 for a smart-a** “Med-Alert” fronter.  Possible unmasked call center spoof looks to be out of Florida, with sometimes real number @ 855-895-1256. The number may still work, if you want to give them an opinion about their dirty operation.

    Gotcha
Caller ID read V102217572200032  Sure sign of telemarketer. Blocked the call then called the number back. There was no answer, no telephone ring, nothing, just dead air. That's what they get now that they are blocked until the come up with a new number to dial from.

I am on the Do Not Call Registry.   This Medical Alert company calls me, I hit 5 to be removed from their calling list, and then they always call me again from a different number.  I'll just stop answering unknown numbers (212-253-8732, 321-209-6393, etc.), and I will let the caller leave a message if it is important.

I am so over these [***]! They call AT LEAST once a day, even though like everyone else I'm on the Do Not Call Registry. Since I'm a writer working from home, every one of their [***] calls (even though I never answer) is a distraction and a disruption and an interruption of my focus. I loathe them and wish there were some way to shut them down. Some of the calls come to me from the VOIP number; some are from the VT 802-727-4633 number.

just do a search for "number no longer in service mp3" and you will find several different recordings, that'll work
I use a digital recorder to play it with or one of my old answering machines

    for a laugh, when  a live person calls trying to fix my computer I sing this;
those cork soakers soak their corks all day long all day long
those cork soakers soak their corks all day long all day long
    starting early in the morning

Just got another call from this number: 802-727-4633, with the CallerID: V102511262400022. They call repeatedly, a few times a week. So much for having a phone number on the Do Not Call List....

They've called repeatedly "You may qualify for a new medical alert system". Most robocalls don't leave a message when they hear the beep after my message. Unfortunately, this one leaves a half message (it starts leaving it as soon as my message comes on, and I only get the half that comes in after my message ends and beeps) which I have to go to the trouble to erase.

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
