Calls from this number are phishing scams. They are trying to get your banking info and social security number. Do not give them anything. Always verify information they tell you. These guys told me they call from AT&T to collect on a bill. I know for sure I don't have anything due. I pay online everything on time.

Got call at8:05 on 28 April. Nooneone theline when answered

Call came in at 7:10 no one answered

Call about 15 times a day with no answer

used star 69 as thet called at least 15 times today with no-one there on the line

I've been getting calls for the last two days and they are using three
numbers.  Two come up on the ID as unknown caller and the third comes
up South Carolina:  The #'s are 803-307-5400 and 803-308-7402 and
843-308-7870.  One call said AT&T and I hung up/another, someone
mumbled something and I just said, find the right number and stop
calling this one.  I won't be answering any other calls like this.
I've already gotten a minimum of 15 calls.

One more thing.  Is it a coincidence that I recently cancelled my a/c
with AT&T for another carrier?????

We also just recieved a call fromthis # also trying to collect money we owe from att but funny part  the total was wrong and my caller id number came up cell #   when att calls they have land line 1800    1-866   or 1-877 number   let att konw  maybe they could stop them

We've been getting these calls too, from South Carolina.   I answered one, and there was a recorded message about AT&T, asked for my dad, but then the message stopped.  We've been getting several of these, with the number 803-308-7402.  Most of the time there is no answer on the other line.  We've gotten more than 15 in the past two days.  But it is getting annoying because the dog barks like mad every time the phone rings.

Have been receiving these calls for months. They ring at 7:00AM - no answer, then once or twice during the day with a tape or a garbled voice, sometimes foreign.  There are now 2 numbers being used 803-308-7402 and So.Carolina 843-308-7810

Last week a midday call rambled about ATT ... I hung up.

FCC must be aware of this.  Is anything substantive and effective being done by an "authority" to stop these intrusions and annoyances?

Never responds, or hangs-up.
Apparently, ATT Collections....but I've paid my bill & caller never actually lets me speak to anybody so it is sort of "one-sided".

Calls with a recording from AT&T that stops short of saying why they are calling.  When I called it back Indian  guy said I owed him money $55 for a phone bill.  I called AT&T screaming at them that in 30 some years our bill has never been late, dang near bit the womens head off, before she explained to me that my bill is up to date.

called about ATT bill and wanted a credit card # to pay for a balance that i did not have.the phone #'s are (843) 3087870 and (803) 308-7402.indian guy with thick accent.why doesnt the FBI do anything? i dont understand why it takes forever,IF ever,for someone with authority to do anything about it! very frustrating to say the least!

#803-308-7402 - No one there - have received 25+ calls from this # between August 1 & August 11. Have reported each & every call to donotcall.gov in an effort to catch these people & in hopes they will be fined no less than $15000 per call.

I talked to this guy with a thick accent that wanted my credit card number or bank information I declined to give him anything because the caller ID said it was a SC Cell number.
I called AT&T and they said it was there collections agency, after I argued with them for 15 minutes and the supervisor kept trying to insult me by calling me mam after I told him I was male but I am sure it was to deliberately insult me.

So far today I have gotten a call every hour since 11AM ~ it is now 6PM!! Sheesh! I went to to the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY website to register so I can file a complaint if this is still happening. Maybe if we all do this THE MADNESS WILL STOP!!! To get them to stop calling you go to www.donotcall.gov  (You'll never believe who just called AGAIN while I'm typing this!!! Grrrrrr SO irritating!!!)
Also, if anyone has any other suggestions to get them to stop. Please advise...

I have rec'd tons of calls from at&t for a bill.i don't have at&t.  No one is able to give me any info about the reason for the bill. I am also receiving calls from this 803-308-7402. Thank goodness I didn't pay out of frustration.

Well it shouldn't be too hard to get em to stop. And BTW the reason I am here is cause you guessed it I keep getting these calls too. But anywho, We have the right to request that they cease and desist calling period. They may send letters, but bill collectors do not have the "right" to call if you tell them to stop. If they continue to call then you can sue them. Even if you lose the suit they still lose out on more than the 50 bucks you might owe. 40 in my case, for collect calls I made. I will pay what I owe and If I ever need to make another collect call it most positively not be with AT&T. Sorry AT&T but your collections dept. has cost you some business and given some to the competition. And for my home phone, all I can say is VOIP you, American Telephone and Telegraph.

Receiving calls from this number several times a day.  Currently have identity theft case open through my bank for internet charges I did not make.  Found out I fell for a phising scam disguised as a PayPal Account Validation.  Assume that is how my acct info was obtained - also assume this 803 number scam is part of the internet scam I already got caught up in.   AOL is no blocking the fake PayPal Site - will see if I can block this 803 number and will contact our state No-Call Authority as I am registered there.
Now that I read past msg stream - I see the AT&T Collection calls I've been getting are also a scam.  I don't even have AT&T so I don't answer.
