This is "The Tech Line" who claim they were notified by Microsoft that you computer is infected with malware and they are calling to fix it.  They will ask for access to your computer and take over manipulating things and running their "scan" to find infected files.  But, when all it said, they want between $250 and $350 to clean and disinfect your computer and cover any future problems for up to one year.  It is a 100% scam.  My wife fell prey to this scam two years ago and now they are calling all the time yet the computer they claim is infected again has not been used in nearly two years.  They are foreigners working in what sounds like a call center so beware and don't fall for this.  Above all, don't allow them any access to your computer.  Ever!
