- Nice tryI got the same call. I find this very funny because I don't owe the IRS anything. I get refunds every year including last year. Besides they garnish your paycheck they don't call you first. Do not send these people any money
- SusanMy phone display says Cell Phone SC (South Carolina). A computer voice says the IRS is suing me and this is the last chance.
- Caller: "IRS"
- jeanI received the same call today 12/07/2015 saying IRS is filing a law suit against you. I never owned IRS and I always get refund.
- SandyThese people have a heavy accent, they didn't even ask for my SS#. IRS surely will ask you for it. They told me I owed some $4,000. What a joke. They wanted my credit card.
- Call type: Prank
- S. PurdyThese people called my boyfriend today claiming to be the IRS.

- Caller: 808-514-3943
- G - from NevadaPlease find this company and press charges on scamming by leasing telephone line and using auto-dial for these activities. I usually ignored unknown number and let the voice mail do the screening. Still, wasted a few min. of my valuable Monday morning productive time.
BTW - IRS do not have my cell phone number and they usually send official mail to registered address !- Caller: 803-514-3943
- concernedReceived this call today about being sued by the IRS voicemail picked up computer generated voice just like the rest
- CheriReceived 2 calls within one hour of each other from the same phone number claiming I owed the IRS and they were filing a lawsuit against me. I know it's a scam but I can see how other people might buy into this message.
- Caller: says the IRS
- TracyGot a call and called back - didn't even have correct address which means they did not have my current tax filing. told me an arrest warrant is going to be issued for defrauding govt because I get social security disability. Funny thing is I just graduated in 2011 with a BA in Accounting.
- David TyreeReceived the same voicemail. There's no way I owe the IRS money and I doubt they would sue me instead of doing an audit or just garnishing my wages anyway...lol.
- Caller: From South Carolina
- R from CAJust got the call today, sounds like a machine talking, does not say who the call is for, and asks to call back to a cell phone number. Scam
- Michael from Los AngelesReceived message that IRS is filing law suit against me. When I called, the person answering (thick accent) gave me a "badge number" and said that there is now a warrant out for my arrest for tax fraud. According to her, the only way to cancel the warrant was to keep her on the phone while I go to the bank, withdraw $4,950 in cash, and then send it to a specified account. It cost me time and aggravation; clearly a scam, but exercise caution all the same. Never asked for social (which IRS would always do), and IRS would NEVER ask for cash to be wired.
