Called saying IRS is suing us and we should call them immediately.    Needless to say we didn't call back as this is surely a scam.   Plus it was at 730AM.

Same complaint they say they are the irs and they are going to sue you unless you send money.

This is a scammer, says they are IRS and are going to sue you unless send money or pay online immediately

Bogus call claiming to be the IRS.  THE IRS DOESN"T MAKE PHONE CALLS LIKE THIS.

Same scam saying the IRS  will sue us.

Robotic female voice in nearly broken English saying "Hello. This call is officially a final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number, 803-514-3946. I repeat, 803-514-3946. Thank you."

I called back hoping to mess with 'em...? (Slow day here.) But I just got a busy signal.

But considering they're trying this scam at all, especially so close to the holidays, and they'll probably get some money out of unsuspecting and frantic seniors, my holiday wish is for whoever's involved in this scam to die a wonderfully, merry, ho-ho-horrible death.  =)

Exactly as Ted described. Female voice calling to warn you that you're getting sued unless you call back.

Just got the same fake IRS call on my cell phone.  Disgusting!!

This is a horrible, horrible scam call. I'm glad I google this number or I would have believed it. They are calling my work number now?

Got the call early this morning they left a nasty message on my voice mail. Was finally able to get ahold of some just a short time ago they said I needed to pay a huge some of money or I would be arrested immediately. The guy couldn't give me any specific information just that I owed the money. Finally just hung up on him. First call was from a lady also.

If you feel you SSN has been compromised, in addition to putting a fraud alert at the 3 credit bureaus, you may want to notify the IRS.  Here is the link, fill out the proper form (probably 14039):

I got the same type of call today. I knew it was a scam, but I'm sure some people will be duped. I hope they are caught and prosecuted soon.
