Another collection agency scam caller making the inference that it represents a government entity, and threatens legal action for false debts. Not much that can be done about these guys as they ghost from one storefront and phone number to another, but just be smart enough to know that collection agencies cannot threaten arrest or anything of the sort for a debt, even if it is valid (be advised that most of these debts are NOT valid). This one claimed to be from the "Department of Legal Services" which is hilarious. Be smart, people... Or at least smarter than these wastes of space.

Also caller ID states Foster & Brown, nonexistent as well when researched on the internet. Any true, legal, REAL company would be public with available information not shady. Don't let them intimidate you or any family member which in some states is illegal. Inform yourself with the debt statutes & laws in your state. Don't answer if number is unknown to you, acknowledge who you are if you answer by accident or above all give out ANY personal info to them. If they think they can contact you there, they WILL continue to harass you. Debt collectors misrepresent themselves everyday & threaten, mistreat etc people all the time whether they have the right person or not which is wrong. Don't fall for their tactics. Knowledge is power, so know your state laws to protect yourselves from their unscrupulous practices. You can always report them to the atty general of your state or the federal trade commission. Report an block the bottom feeders!

Same as above.  Very threatening phone calls from this entity claiming sheriff would come to my place of living or work and I would have criminal charges filed against me.  Claimed I owed money to an entity I have never heard of.  Very upsetting. Phone number said Foster and Brown, but caller said she was with Patterson and Associates.
