I just received a call from someone identifying themselves as Jack Tate, from "Pre-Trial Processing" Legal Department.
He claims he has two (2) allegations against me, to be filed with the "Clerk's Office" from my state.  He doesn't say the name of the so-called "clerk's office".  Claims to have a file number, a case number, and so on, and so on......
Sounds like another phone scam.

Just received a automated message "this is a division of pre-trail processing - there are currently 2 charges pending against you"  blah blah blah blah blah -  I have been a real collector for over 30 years.    I have no idea who these bottom feeders were trying to reach - but please listen to me.    There is a thing called the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, which governs collection efforts in this country.   These fly by night organizations buy bad debt from other companies, and then the minute they find someone whose name matches that of the debtor - they try to scare people into paying.    First, of all, someone from another state must go through proper channels within your state of residence to file any type of paperwork against you.    More importantly these scammer must provide proof of the debt upon your request.    Lastly, there is no pre-trail division of anything.   It is another term for no talent, inexperienced, collectors - they can't use the proper procedures to collect money - so they try to scare people.   Some states actually have criminal charges against people such as these who make false statements to intimidate people.  Ignore Them Always!

I received the same thing. Definitely is being blocked now. I hate those calls.

Just received the same call from this number after multiple calls from 401-433-7979 saying the same thing and then I blocked that number

Just got the exact same call that you all have been receiving. I would like to know HOW and WHY if there was a case (or 2, like they have told us all) pending against me, the number is not coming even coming FROM the state I live in. Do not answer these calls, people. And if you have a smart phone, blocking these callers is as easy as clicking "block contact".

Have been calling for my spouse nonstop stating that he has 2 claims in thier office and they will contact his work etc . Definitely a scam

Have gotten 16 calls on both home and cell telling me there are 2 collections against me from 8 yrs ago, calls all from out of State. I have no collections, except from a medical BK 10 yrs ago that are all discharged but they threatened me w fraud, garnishment and judgments, yet they have no info on the accts. I contacted the Police and Attorney General, filed a claim against both and learned I'm not the first. It's a SCAM !

I got a call from an automated message claiming to have legal allegations against my mother, I'm underage so the phone is her name , but I was curious if there was anything I could do about it.

Received a phone call on my home number that I never give out and they say that they have 2 cases pending against me and that they are coming to my place of employment to serve a warrant against me.   Have no idea who it is, no name given and they have called from other numbers stating the same thing after I block the number now they call my home number that is never used.   DO NOT CALL THEM.   IT IS A SCAM AND WRITE DOWN ALL NUMBERS AND REPORT THEM TO YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT AND YOUR STATES ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE

have received several calls from this number but only at my work place - have not received anything on my personal call.  They are leaving very threatening messages and the number they leave to call back their legal department just rings and rings.. I get no answers.  I have no idea what this is for as I am current on all my stuff and why they are calling me only at my office is beyond me.  I have no way to block it.  This has got to be a scam!

They have left a voicemail stating that They are going to find me at my employer or at my home and that once they do, I cannot do anything about it. They never left a name, company or a "attention this is a debt collector" statement.

this was an attempt to pressure me into paying fo a dept,that i didn't make,from 2008.if i didn,t pay 700.00 they going to post it and file charges against me.someone needs to lock them up, and put a stop to them calling anyone.please stop them,george

I received a 2 minute call from them on my voice mail.  Case numbers, telling me to have my attorney call them etc.   After listening to this [***] twice I realized the person they were calling wasn't me.  I called them and said "[***] You"!
the woman bust out laughing and hung up.  2 minutes later this very nasty woman called me and aid she was putting my number in to be called 500 times in a row.  "Enjoy it" she said! I called the number and spoke to another woman who said no one from that number called me, but asked me if I was the name left on my voice mail. I said no, so she couldn't tell me anything except it has to do with legal claims--meanwhile my call waiting was showing that numbe.r  I counted a total of 70 calls until I called my phone company and blocked the number.  I also have made a report to local law enforcement. These are the lowest of the low and try and scam people who aren't smart enough to realize this is a big scam  Do not ive them any information!!!

Got a call from them - stated that she has a claim from Twin Bluff Financial and I have 24h to call her back @ ext 3009 to set up payment arrangements. I will be charged with felony crime and check fraud for some loan that she had no documentation or date that was given. Had the wrong e-mail address

Must have been the same lady that called me because I got the same extension number from her. She had an address I resided in 11 years ago and was claiming I had payday loans out in 2010 through Bank of America, which I had neither for more than 10 years ago. I kept asking her for validation of  the debt and the people she said she was representing (Seven LLC). She would attempt to provide resolution on that matter just kept saying they sent papers to an old address and that I needed an attorney to call her back and I should be receiving a summons in 15 days. She said her name was Ms. West.

I received a nasty all from this number today, it was actually quite entertaining as they threatened me and refused to disclose any information about the debt.  They identified themselves as being in the arbitration department at RG Group.  I have filed a complaint with the FTC/Consumer Financial Protection Agency.  I am so sick of these type of calls!  Legitimate collection agencies will mail you letters for legitimate debt before taking any legal action.  Ignore these calls or file your complaint at http://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/.  Thanks all for sharing these comments!
