Got a hang up call from this number.

so did i...at 6 once a week...so annoying! I can't figure out who it is either. Some stupid tele-marketer!

I just received a call from the rudest person from this number.  They identified themselves as being a part of Suntrust Mortgage. As I'm trying to help them, they did nothing but snap at me and when I asked for a number to call them back at, they hung up.  How rude!  What is the purpose of their calls if they don't want any help.  How are you supposed to get them answers if they won't give you a call back number?  WTF?  This isn't the first time either. I too have had many hang ups from this number.  It's extremely disruptive and inconsiderate, not to mention down right RUDE!  If you call the number back it just rings and rings, never any answer.  Jerks!

and also if we try to call back. no response. it doesn't say anything.so annoying.

no message left, i called back, not a working suntrust number gave another number to call. checked other sites the number is a verizon number

Got a call from this number (804-291-0001) yesterday. I was not home but it was on my caller-id. I don't have a Suntrust loan nor have I ever had one so I have no idea why they would start calling me. In any case, I have blocked them from calling in the future.

I got a call from this number.  The person claimed they were from Suntrust mortgage and asked about the status of my condo which is in the foreclosure process.  The young man advised for me to keep trying to seel and submit a short sale pacage, and to accept a low ball offer if i could get one.  After he hung up, I got the feeling this wasn;t really Suntrust.  Called the number back, and no answer.  The way this person presented themself was not the usual protocol Suntrus uses when they call me, so I am suspicious if this was ever really Suntrust that called me.

I just spoke with someone named Justine.  She’d left a message with her name, number and extension.  When I called her back she was asking for me to make an appointment with the title company to go in and initial a change in my maturity date because it reads different on my deed or something like that.  Come to find out she was calling for a loan that wasn’t mine.  I’d told her who my title company was my realtor company and where the title company is located.  I knew something was strange because the maturity date she gave was no where near the date I closed on my home.  Now I’m scared that this was a scam and maybe I gave too much info.

not necessarily a collection call ...getting a call from SunTrusr from this number could be a variety of things, like applying for a car loan ...the dealer inquiries search all and SunTrust verifies the request from this number before they give their OK on an application  .....
  folks are getting uptight about phone calls ....and many are legit ...this is one of them ..

Received a call from this number as a missed call. Attempted to call this company back shortly after they called and the line has been busy ever since.

They will begin to ask you personal information and say they are from SUNTRUST, but THEY ARE NOT. They are a scam. Don't give them any information. They keep asking you questions, tell them to kiss off and hang up. Then call block them.

This number also called me and shortly I tried to call back and it was busy and stayed busy??? The person left a message and knew my name???

Do you know this for sure?

Got a call from this number yesterday. They asked questions about my account which is in the forclosure process and said they needed updated paystubs. It occurred to me after I sent the info that she didn't do the usuall verification that Suntrust does at the beginning of every call. When I tried to contact the number it just rings. Noone at Suntrust Loss Mitigation knows who this Sandy Parker person is and no notes that such a request was made......

Yes this is SunTrust.  I have a 2nd Mortgage with them.  They are calling to settle my 2nd mortgage for pennies on the dollar as my house has decreased significantly in value.  So my first mortgage has now exceeded the value of the house and the 2nd mortgage to SunTrust is now unsecured.  The problem is whatever I settle on, the remaining balance is taxed.  Nice.  So it's not all rosy.  

What kills me is they want tens of thousands to settle.  Not sure why I am even paying it in the first place as there is nothing they can do.  The house is worth less then the first mortgage.  So what will SunTrust do if I just quit paying them?  NOTHING.  They know that they are in a huge risk so they are trying to settle anything they can.

My advice is to take their offer and counter with pennies again.  Remember, you have to then pay the IRS for the write off of the balance.
