Scammers of some sort. Calling the number back immediately goes to a recorded message, the usual [***] "If you'd like to be removed from our calling list, press '1' now."

I now answer the phone "google worldwide may I help you" then I press 1 when prompted to do so and when they ask for my info, I state that I work for google and my supervisor says we don't call anyone. For some reason these google employees always hang up!!!! I can't fathom why!

Called my cell two days ago, I did not answer, they left no message.
I usually get a couple calls early in the week from scammers - from the notes here, this looks like another one.
Blocking the number on my cell.

Go to www.endrobocalls.org and sign the petition. It is by the Consumer Reports Magazine folks, and they are pressuring the Feds and phone companies to stop this nonsense.  Spread the word !

They called.  I don't answer the phone anymore.  No message left.  Thanks to all who have posted the warnings about this number.

Called, no message, blocked!

Same number called me today (January 18, 2016), at 1:37 PM EST. Left no message. No idea who it was or why they called. (How do other commenters know it was Google, or even that it was robo-dialed?)

Another call from our "local google specialist"  strange since I'm in California and they are in Virginia.
