He said with a foreign accent his name was Officer James Morgan asked that I have myself or my attorney to call. If he don't hear from me than I wish you good luck. Sounded like a threat

Same thing as Ray above and I called back. He said he was from the IRS and said I was being charged for tax evasion for taxes from 2009-2011. Said I owed $1,400 and if it wasn't taken care of in the next hour, law inforcement would show up and I'd would be arrested and go to jail for 90 days. Also said they would freeze my bank account, put a lean on my house and car.
I listened to him for awhile and he wanted me to send at least $500 in a Money Gram Express Voucher to show the IRS that I wanted to resolve this issue and then I could mail in the other $900.  I went to the local sheriff office and reported it along with the phone number. I also played for them the recording they left and the Sheriff's office said it was a scam. I also tried calling the IRS HOT LINE to report the Scam, but  couldn't a live person on the line.

Just when I was starting to make an important phone conversation, this call comes in, and I noticed a voicemail saying it was time sensitive and not to disregard that call from the same name from the IRS.

Got a VM from this #.  The foreign accented guy on there said his name was Officer Richard Williams and his hotline # will be 804-372-5692 and that If I or my (return?) attorny do not call then it will unfold on me.  First off, WHO talks like this?  Secondly, he never addressed in the VM WHO he was calling for AND he sounds dumb AF.  So i just put this on the SCAM radar and blocked it.  This was over 2 months ago and nothing so far has happened.  If it were from the IRS, they send notices in the mail.  Not have some random no speaking dude calling you and leaving dumb messages on your phone.  LAME.
