Yup... Aledged Office James Anderson called from 804-496-1049 and left a somewhat threatening phone regarding issuance of a warrant for my arrest. He left the same #as a return call number.

You are NOT warned is you are to be served.  Watch for the SCAM!!

The real IRS mails letters if there is a problem.

Yes, this piece of [***] just called us. So we called him back and gave him all our money as a deposit to future legal fees. lol.

Last two days I received the same exact calls - same person.  Is this James Anserson the only officer working?? :) LOL!!!!
I have reported it to the FTC already.

This is a scam! Don't fall for this! "Officer James Anderson" He is trying to take advantage of you!

This guy is a scam! Just called and left same threatening message!! I'm leaving message here to help others but just blocking him on my phone!!

"Officer James Anderson" left me a voice message on my cell phone stating he was sending me to court for tax reasons. I called the number back when he answered I told him to stop calling and that I thought he is a scam.  He replied, then why did you call back and hung up.  Please put a stop to this.  This is not the first time I have received this call.

I just a got a call from this number, but now the man left a message threatening to put a warrant out for my arrest for illegal transaction. I was like what? I called the number back, but get disconnected.

This phone call came in this morning at 4:57AM.......As other have posted this is a SCAM. I'm most annoyed by the time of the call.

Received a call from this number.  Didn't say a word to the caller and then a computer generated voice came on saying he was from the tax collecting agency.  A word to the wise...the IRS sends letters, not calls.

He says he is Officer James Anderson from the IRS. He says that we are going to be arrested for tax evasion. He wants us to call him back and give him information so that we can avoid having our tax evasion go to the federal level. We have never evaded our taxes and our current and up to date on our situation with the IRS. He is out of his mind! Scammer!!!

This is my Verizon message transcript:  "holly(?) this is officer James Anderson calling you from tax audit Department of Internal Revenue Service that is the reason behind this call is to let you know that we have received a legal petition complaints against your name concerning an illegal tax evasion. The tax floor(?) and we had decided to take this matter. Keep your scheduled claim court house and you're about to issue a warrant for your arrest but before we go ahead and do that. If you need any relevant information concerning this case. You can call us back on our call back number and you can talk to her legal representation here. The number to reach us is area code 804 496-1049. Again this is Officer James Anderson. You have a good day. Thank you."

I notice one person mentions Verizon. I'm on Verizon too, and this same message went straight to my voicemail (no actual call, so know caller ID info). Anybody getting this call through another carrier than Verizon?

Yes i recd 2 msgs from same guy and i have ATT...  It really did freak me out to say the least... I tried calling back and theres no answer.  Machine says not accepting calls at this time.  They said they are going to issue a warrant for my arrest for tax evasion... Ive always paid my taxes... Im going to contact IRS right now and file a complaint.  This is ridiculous, as if people dont have enough to worry about.  No one needs these prank calls.

Got this call on my home answering system.  Of course this is a scam.  Best response for this is too NOT call the number in case they back trace for collect calls.  I would contact your local police or state police to get it on file.  Also, since it is from the Virginia area, I would think the FCC and FBI could also be contact since the threat crosses state boundaries (I am in PA)

Same caller today as last year. Absolute scam. Here in AZ even though the news has been warning people they still fall for it. The IRS does not call you unless they have sent a letter and YOU tell them to call. Plus very heavy accent and horrible grammar. Also they will tell you to wire the money. IRS does not accept wired money. Please don't fall for this.

I got this call today.  Exact information was given as in previous posts. I deleted it.......idiot......get a real job instead of scamming others.
