Didn't answer the call. Know no damn god from this area

just got one.  google says its a fax no. for a DK Workspaces.  saw a couple of other associations.  somebody playing chicken

area code 804 serves the state of Virginia.

555 DOES exist as an exchange.  It is the old information exchange before 411, which existed as 555-1212.  I believe it is still operational.

I answered... no one on the other end, just dead air.  Concerned it could be an activation for malicious apps...?

got a call from this number. ignored and let it go to voicemail.  didn't leave a msg,

just got a call from the number and same thing no answer and when i called it back number has been disconnected.

Same as everyone else. Thought it was an intl call. Dead air.

I answered and it was silent for around 4 seconds and then a man came on the line and was looking for Mr. and Mrs. (insert my last name here).  I asked who was calling and he claimed to be from Comcast and tried to say stuff about new promos but I cut him off and said I wasn't interested.  He said thank you for your time and if you have further questions just call Comcast.

Same ...804 555 1111.   Recognized it wasn't a good number and did not answer.

Saw this number on the missed call on my mobile.  tried to call from landline, deadline

Asking for the IT director, didn't leave a message.

Have been repeatedly getting calls from this number. Finally answered it. Sales person from Sungard Availability Services.

Got a phone call from them.  No speaking English, no answer

calls at least once a day asking for our I.T. manager

I have received 8 calls from this number in one afternoon at my work phone....they left one voice mail that was three minutes long and only had hold music

I was called four days in a row. did answer the first three.
Today I picked up. No answer. I hung up soon.

At first I thought this call was from an ex who had recently relocated to Virginia.  He has been calling me at weird times and says basically nothing.  Am wondering HOW these people got my personal cell number.  I did not pick up and there is not message.  Is this type of harassment legal?

I just got a call from this number, and my experience was extremely similar to Paul's (above).

I answered the phone, and got silence - but after a few seconds, a man identified himself as calling from Comcast. He knew my last name, and asked for me by Mr. LastName.

He mentioned my bill and the price he said I was paying. I had canceled my Comcast only a few days earlier, but the price he quoted was correct, though I had one of 3 possible prices anyway.

Anyway, I told him I had recently canceled, then he spoke extremely quickly, telling me to call Comcast customer service for further questions, followed by a hangup, with no pause for me to reply.

I got a call. I did not answer it since the 555-1111 looked suspicious. Glad I didn't.

This looks like a suspicious number since there is no reason I can't think of for anyone from VA to be contacting me. Based on comments from others, it was good that I did not answer.

I got this a day after installing Verizon Wireless/asurain/mcfee virus scanner on my android.
Did anyone else have this on their phone. Its the one on the verizon app store.
