An automated call asking if my teenage daughter's cellphone number could be included in the person's calling list. A taped voice of a male "inmate in a correctional facility" was played in between the automated call. This number would call my daughter's cellphone number 3-6 times a day.

I'm getting the same calls from this number 6x a day for 5 days now! How did you get them to stop??? I do not answer them.

I am also receiving calls. How do I block 1-804-674-1535.
I called the correctional facility and blocked all calls from any inmate. I found a number online that says they blocked the calls. I called the superintendent of he service that provides MCI with the automated call system she said sheblocked the service.
Tonight I have 6 more calls on my caller id for today.

This worked for me:  Call the Global Tel Link technical support staff at 1-877-856-3184.  Tell the rep you are receiving calls from a number in the Global Tel Link system and want them to stop.  Give the rep the phone number you are receiving the calls on.  Apparently a call from this number could originate from any facility in the VA Dept. of Corrections, so ask to have the block be effective from any of those facilities.  It should be effective immediately.

I just got a call from that number, I don't know anyone there either but I do know someone in the Rappahannock Regional Jail, waiting to be transferred to a prison - just trying to establish some kind of connection to us that are receiving these calls

I have received 5 calls from this number today.  An automated voice says its from an inmate correctional facility and Brother Andrew wants to call me 3 x day for the next 7 days.  I hung up but they called 4 more times.  I called my cell phone company to ask that they block this number.
I do not know anyone in prison and do not want these calls. And why are my tax dollars making it possible for inmates to repeatedly call someone!

If you want the calls to stop contact Global Tel Link directly at 1-800-231-0193.  Tell them you want your number blocked.  They are very nice- and will gladly take care of the matter.

i've been getting calls from this number too i do have two brothers thats incarcerated i know its not one of them i don't kwow who it could be.

I've been receiving calls since last night from this number. my fiance is incarcerated and I know that it's him. I missed the call last night and with it being a holiday weekend, i have to work all weekend. Does anybody know how I would be able to contact somebody to give them the go ahead for putting my phone number on his call list? Or do I just need to try to sit by the phone and wait for when the automated system tries calling me again??

I just recieved 2 calls today on my cell phone from my friend on this same exact number everyone else has been talking about (What Jail is this?) I know its in Virginia ....he dosn't have my home phone number... and i want to contact somebody so they can put my house number on his call list dose anybody know what i should do about that? or what the mailing address is so i can write him a letter and tell him?

This number has called me about 9 times a day for the last 5 days. It's insane.

This number called 2 times tonight.  I called an 800 number listed in a post that takes you to Global Tel Link.....800-231-0193,  Supposedly they are to remove your number from being called.  The automated voice (after I punched in my phone number) said my number was not in their records as having been called in the past 6 months.  If I wanted to talk to a representative I had to punch #1.  That took me to a line of calls waiting to be answered so I left my number for a call back as soon as a rep was available.  So I am waiting for a call back.  This whole thing is worrisome.  I will let you know the results...IF the Global Tel Link calls me back.

Global called me back within 20 minutes.  They researched call for my number and could not tell if I had been called or not because it had only been a few minutes earlier.  The man offered to put a block on my phone for that number and I accepted.  The total process took about 8 minutes.
