It is a scam. Don't answer!

A man with a heavy accent left a voicemail stating that if he doesn't hear back from me or my attorney, all he could do is wish me good luck, as the situation unfolds badly on me. I called the number back and the same man answered, stating he was with the IRS. I informed him that he has been reported. He said, "And then what?" Then he called me a prostitue and a [***] several times until I hung up.

of course this call is a scam.  What's annoying is the frequency of phone calls.  My android phone doesn't allow me to block numbers. I want to report this scam!

Just received another voicemail from the same man, with the exact same message, this time claiming to be Officer Jason Miller. I called the number back, and he said he is with the IRS.

I hace called him from several different phone numbers throughout the day, just to tie up his line and waste his time. I just push a lot of buttons or play some ear piercing noise into the phone when he answers. He has a pretty foul mouth, so I just let him know how disgusting he is. I've got a little time on my hands today 😜

got the same message needed my attorney or me told me things were going to go bad for me and he wish me luck he also told me the cops would be at my door in 45 minutes is said is this a joke are you serious and he said no I asked again are you serious and he said NO and hung up on me

Thank goodness for this site because I was a little freaked out, not going to lie. But the message was difficult to understand, except the part that says "if I don't hear from your attorney, I wish you good luck!" Alrighty then. If it is a scam, how does it benefit the caller?

Wow. I received the same call moments ago. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. I was told the same thing that was written in other posts: that I had committed willful fraud against the IRS and charges were being brought against me. Then I told "Mark Lopez", who had a distinct indian accent, that I would have been properly notified by the IRS if I was being audited, it's a law that the IRS only audits for 3 years, not the 8 that he mentioned, and that I have a right to represent and defend myself against these charges before action can be taken against me or my personal property. To this, he responded "The cops are on their way to your home, [***]!" Then he hung up on me.

Clearly not the IRS.........

Same crapola.  Said the region manager was on vacation but that he would tell him as  soon as he got back.  WHAT???

We are BLOCKING THIS NUMBER on our cellphones.

You can download an app called MR. Number. That will allow you to block calls.

I got a call saying that they were an officer and that I needed to call them back.  If they didn't hear back from me or my attorney they wished me luck

Got the same call. Glad I decided to look this up.

Got the same call and it traced to a field in Heathsville VA  via satellite
.The field appeared to be the site of agricultural activity based on the furrows made by agricultural equipment

Reported him to Verizon who issued him the phone. Reported him to Police in the area Heathsville Va 22473. This idiot called my husbands phone a number of times and left msg that he was an IRS officer. Went to the IRS web and they said a number of these calls have been rcvd. I'm reporting this to the IRS office also. 😊

He called from this number and 757-695-5779 with the same message. better get my attorney good luck..

See this guy called me too and he tried to make me angry by calling me names. Unfortunately for him he had failed and I had flipped the tables on him. I kept calling him back annoying him until he totally lost his cool and blew up, it was a glorious moment. As I laughed at him he threw the phone down in anger. He will not be calling back anymore for he knows what is coming.
