Phishing spam purporting to be security experts noticing errors on your computer.  Do not fall for this!  100% fake!

Purporting to be security experts noticing errors on your computer.  State they have sent messages with no response.  If you do not call 500 number they leave, your computer will be shut down permanently.

I received a call from this number on June 3, 2017 stating that they have noticed suspicious activity on my computer the past 2 weeks and to call 800-672-3809 by officer Charlie Williams in charge of Security at Headquarters for Windows to resolve issues.

I received the same call today.

GOT THE SAME MESSAGE TODAY AROUND 4 pm Call back number was an 800 number  if I did call back my computer will be shut down permanently

I just received a call today at about 1:45. Super scary and not cool. So glad I didn't call back. Thanks!!

I, too, received the same message, stating that they were calling from "Windows Security" and they had recorded specific information from my computer and were shutting it down if I didn't call the 800 number. Of course, I didn't call back. The Attorney General formerly had a number where one could call to report these scams, but it is no longer in service. Just don't fall for this!

Haha I received this call twice now.  Funny thing is, I don't even use a windows machine.  Dumb a@@ idiots

Received  these calls twice in 2 days. And this voice sounds familiar like somebody's voice  about IRS scam.
This is not funny , some people are answering these calls and answering their questions ! Annoying to no end.

This Officer Williams called my (77 yr old father) and told him he has 44 messages that have not been answered and that he was going to block his computer. Well my father does not have internet and only plays solitaire on his computer. Officer Williams said to him that playing games down loads these messages as well...   I called the number back that "Officer Williams" left my father and no answer just leave a message..  HA!! Officer Williams is a scam because no messages can be sent to a computer if you have no internet!!!!

Same message received 6-24-2017.  From phone # 800-420-0564... Can these numbers be traced to identifed the skammers.  Looks like something should be done about this.

Not much anyone can do.  Calls originate in India and Pakistan.  Even if you could find them, what could you do.  Nothing.  US can't do anything.  And the local governments do little.  Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.

Call from Officer Charlie Williams on July 12, 2017. Caller ID listed Number from: (337) 387-4374.

Message stated that he was from Debt.  Security Headquarters for Windows regarding suspicious activity on my computer the last two weeks.

Instructing me to call right away to clear my envolvement as this activity was being investigated.  CASE# was given to refer to.
