My third suspected spam call from a 804 area code in a week. Unlike the others, did not leave me any message.

They are claiming to be IRS here we go again. This needs to stop.

Won't stop calling my cell - clearly fraud.

Today I got several phone calls from 804 numbers -suspected spam call from 804-767-8684 & 804-977-3790 says that i need to call for a case number and if I don't it a federal case. I called and asked who this was and they hung up on me? odd.

Got a call from this number today 804-767-8684 claiming I needed to call them to get my case information that they were some federal agency. I never called back. I looked the number up on the internet and saw that it was a scam....phew!!

No law enforcement agency is calling you to tell you to call them for your case number. There is no identifying information in the call that it is for you. It is SPAM people

Do what I do.
Keep calling them back and f$&@ with them till they block you.
Put the number on social media so they get slammed with calls
They are scamming people.
Can't get in trouble if they are the ones breaking the law

Put their number on social media and have everybody call them.
They are scamming people.
Take out your frustrations on them.
Usually takes 25 to 30 back to back calls to have them block YOU

They left a voicemail telling me to call them back immediately. If I didn't, a federal magistrate would come arrest me.  Give me a break!  So nice to scare people before the holidays...shut them down!

The best is the guy with the middle eastern accent calling himself agent Matthews.
Then every time you call back the tries to disguise his voice and change his name

just got this call took me calling them 6 times before they answered they said i owe then 5000.00 unpaid taxes and they will have me put in jail

Same story - talked about a magestrate judge, Federal Grand Jury, a federal criminal offense, 2nd and final attempt, call for case number. I love the ending "thank you" on the message, so nicely said after the breathlessly scary [***]. Obviously a scam, thought I'd post here as well.

Got the same call and same 1st #.  Searching to see who what....

Got an automated call saying a local sheriff was going to arrest me for 6 criminal charges. That to avoid this I needed to call. If I didn't they could only wish me good luck!

Got the same call.  Last attempt to call me to get a case #.  Called my tax man and he said it is defilently a scam.  I am calling them back and messing with them until they block me.  I am also blocking my number hoping to mess with them alot.

Call them back and mess with them. Act like you are crying and have no money, but will do anything not to go to jail.  Or you can make up your own story.  I am going to mess with them as much as I can.  I am also going to block my number, so they will not know who is calling them.  Have fun.

I called consumer reports and they said there is nothing they can do to stop these scam calls, but to educate the public.  So, I am going to call them and mess with them!  A taste of their own medicine.
