They told me there was a problem my credit card to call immediately to prevent any more false charges on my credit card.

They stated they were from Capitol One, but when I called the number on my card they stated they had not called from that number, they had left me a voice mail on my cell advising me to call their 800 number which I did. They knew nothing about this other number.

MCI sent me a letter and also called me and said that I had made a call to this number and is chargeing me 52.92. This call was never made.

I received an email supposedly from Capital one regarding a fraudulent transaction.  The email appeared fake and this number was given as a number to call.  Capital one is investigating.

This number is located on the Capital One website.  If you are outside the U.S., you can call it collect for help.

There we go again. Scammers. The caller ID said capital one

Some partial message robocall about lowering my rates.  Called a cell number so clearly illegal.   I have BLOCKED this number.

Robocaller stated I could lower my rate, claimed was rep with Capitol One.  Wasn't any number on Card or online. Contacted Capitol One, transferred to fraud dept.

I did get a call from this number about my credit card account.  The real number is registered as a Capital One credit card customer service number.  However, I do not have a Capital One credit card.  Ergo, I am led to believe this is a scammer who spoofed the number to make it look like a legit call to phish, steal card or social info, etc.

I would be very hesitant to believe this one.  I recommend those called by this number ask to call them back, then call the real number on the back of your Capital One card and see if they really called you or if it was a scam.

Received two calls this morning.  Did not answer.  Caller ID stated it was from Capitol One, I don't have a Capital One card.

Recorded message from "Capital One". "This is an important message regarding your current credit card account. We have made several attempts to reach you.  This is your final courtesy call before we are unable to lower your credit card interest rate. Press 1 to speak with the Member Services Department, or press 2 and your eligibility to lower your rates will expire."

This is a Debt Reduction Scam.

A real live caller - I asked if I'd win a prize if I got enough junk calls like this. He hung up.

called my landline with the ID capital One. Called capital one nd asked about the number. Scammers but was encouraged by the agent to notify them of any calls with a logo saying they are from capital one. Spoofed number

Called from landline caller ID stated Capital One in Virginia. When I called the number back it wanted my information which I do not give out so I called the number on the back of my Capital One card and they had not called me. This is a scam.....

Called my cellphone on 7/2/2019 and CID displayed Virginia 804-934-2001 and no VM was left. Since no message was left, the call wasn't important. I don't know anyone who resides in Virginia. I don't have any credit cards from Capital One so they shouldn't be calling me in the first place. Another number added to my block list.

This was an obvious scam call so it was disconnected after the first ring.  Since the majority of calls that I get lately are scam calls, it's easier to dump/block all calls and call back those that are legitimate.
