Note another complaint site states that this is a spoofed number and belongs to a energy survey group.   I'm a big believer in karma.  Hopefully we'll all still be around rto see these yahoos get what's coming to them.

I have received at least 6-10 calls from this number: SSI:  805-250-1085, sometimes 2 and 3 calls per day.  It sounds like a fax number but someone hangs up or the call is disconnected. No one ever says anything.

Calls over and over. Leaves no message and I'm not answering because I know it's a spam call.
Screen says SSI.

This is SSI  Survey Sampling, a marketing research company. To get removed from their call list:  URL is http://www.surveysampling.com/.

Keep in mind that if they do not place you on their internal DNC list, they can still get into trouble. As a rule, survey's are exempt from the DNC though. Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

SSI called 3 Oct 2014 at 6:32PM and there was no one there.

Number appeared weird on CID- 8052501085, no other ID. I let ring 3 times, picked up, no one there. When I called the #, got the voice mail of SSI

I called the opt-out by telephone; it takes 5 business days before they stop the harassment. We'll see. After the New Year, FTC will be contacted.

The DNCR does not cover surveys. However I will say that I believe that there are those that take advantage of the loopholes in order to scam people out of money. So I just ignore these calls.

They have called me 8 times in the last 3 days.  One day they used the number 385 207-7135.  They are a real pain.
Why can't the gov. shut them down????

On a lark I called back and they said they are SurveySampling.com and gave instructions on how to opt out.

No message, CID was SSI, now blockec

The caller, SSI ( displayed as ID on our phone ),, called us @09:40 A.M., 12.15.2015,12:53, noon 12.18.2015 twice. We were out of town, & returned home 16:00, 12.20.2015. I returned the call hiding our number few times, no one ever answered. People reported this unwanted call since 01.26.2014.
No one receives SSI @ our home.

SSI is a survey company as posted by Claus in the above post.  It has nothing to do with the SSI program which is run by the Social Security Administration (SSA).

Moron just called. I knew it was a scammer - so I just disconnected the call. Caller ID says SSI. Government agencies NEVER call u on the phone!!!!

This number 805-250-1085 calls my home landline at least 3-4 times a day. I never pick up because I know it is a junk call. There are few ways to handle unwanted calls.
1. Turn off the ringer on your landline if possible
2. If you have a landline, get a phone that will allow you to block calls, mine is a Panasonic blocks up to 50 numbers. When full you have to delete the numbers and start over
3. If you have call forwarding, forward calls to your cell phone then block the call on your cell phone.
