- KC| 1 replySomeone with an Indian accent claimed to be from Dell, saying that my computer is giving off "pings" and they wanted to warn me that I need to update my virus protection. There was a dog barking the entire time. I have 4 computers, I asked him which one. He even had the date I bought one of them in 2010, but that Dell was destroyed. I'm not sure what he was after, but be careful!
- Caller: not sure

No message left, and no ID except #. Don't usually get robot calls to the cell, but don't know where they've gotten this #. First time for this #, and no information except a few blogs like this. Blog does show it's from CA.
- sj| 1 replySomeone named Alex with an Indian accent called me (at my work #) and said he was with a pharmacist calling about my medication. I told him not to call me again. I have had these calls before and somehow these people actually know what prescription meds I take and try to sell them to me cheaper. I get my meds filled at Sam's Club and think that somehow there must be a breech in their computers, don't know how else these companies get my name to call me and know the names of the rx's I get!!!
- Caller: some pharmacy
- JoeyDee replies to sjRemember there was a serious breach in Anthem's systems a while ago, an they are a huge health care coverage management company. I remember that Blue Cross/Blue Shield accounts had been hacked as a result, and there are probably others. Although I never got notification that my account was among those hacked, I requested a freeze on all my credit accounts, just to be safe. I had BC/BS years ago, but my info could still have been stolen.
I bring this up because it's becoming more and more evident that our personal information is more susceptible to theft than ever. I wonder, as you do, how else our info ends up in scammer's databases.
Just be very careful: I've also taken to monitoring my bank and credit card accounts online regularly. The checking/savings, every morning as part of my morning start-up routine, the credit cards every few days.
