I got a call from some idiot who thinks I'm going to get upset that he's a DEA agent and I'm involved in a drug investigation. He must take me for some kind of idiot. I never answer the phone so this was left as voice mail.

Yep, same here.  Total scammer claiming to be DEA.

Same here - claims to be DEA - usually leaves message - this time picked up call - said nothing - he said he was DEA then hung up

At 750 AM, I received a call from a man  who identified himself as Special Agent  Mr. Michael Haag of the Drug Enforcement Agency. at 805-308 3760. He then said my name had come up regarding a criminal drug investigation and that I should contact the agency immediately. When I called back and he answered using his name, saying this is Michael Haag, I asked to whom did he want to speak and he wanted to know my name.   He wanted to know my name and I asked, what do you want. He voice became irritated that I would ask him who he wanted to speak with. He then asked if I had been contacted by any pharmaceutical company's. I replied no, and he hung up.  I'm calling the DEA and find out what gives.  It must be some prank or nut case.

Yep me too, received a message from Michael Hang claiming to be a DEA agent  - wanted to talk about some ongoing investigation.  Apparently it's a total scam.  I lost the link but the real DEA put out a press release warning people to watch out for scammers claiming to be DEA agents on the phone.  They'll try and get you to "pay a fine" over the phone.............  Losers

now I call once in a while for fun and harrrass him, he's stupid enough to answer sometimes.....or you can leave disgusting messages on his machine

Just got the same call.  The guy scared the crap out of my Mom who has never engaged in anything illegal.  Told her she could send in a check for the fine payment and that there were no "charges" but US Marshalls were going to come raid her house.  

Really - this is UNACCEPTABLE. Our Local Police said that we have call a national number because they are getting so many calls they can't investigate them all.

Just got the call.  Scared the daylights out of me.  Called the Sheriff's office and they said to look up the number.  Must have been a scam.
I wonder what they want.  I was so dumb, I called them back and gave them my name.

Called and left same message above on message machine.  His name conveniently blanked out in the message. Same phone number as above. I have no criminal history...not even a traffic violation ticket on my record for over 30 years. If I get more identity information I will report to the proper agency to complain.

Same here! I received a voicemail from "James Redfield" of the DEA, saying that I was under investigation for an ongoing drug investigation! Idiots!

James Redfield called saying his was from DEA and left a message on my phone today.  Same story, saying that I was involved in a drug investigation.  Must be totally a scam

I had a pnone call from the same phone number. Stated he was Mark Bryan Special Agent with the DEA. I reported it to the police. I am waiting for the fraud dept to call me back. I also facebook'd it so everyone will know. I called DEA.

Me too. Also get a noise blaster on amazon. I call and speak softly so they push their ear into the phone and then I blast the noise maker. Trust me they are deaf for hours afterwards.

Report to your local Congressman's office. These calls are out of the Dominican republic with a US number. They need to be disconnected.

This man/men called and said that there was a med shipment waiting for pick up in the Dominican republic. When the 1st guy couldn't get what he wanted he put 2nd guy, the bully lol on the phone! He said it was a 17 year prison sentence and they would come and arrest me and search the house!
Needless to say i told him to issue an arrest warrant and come and get me!
What idiots!

The same exact thing happened to me .  He identified himself as Peter Morgan with the DEA. He called my husband's cell looking for me. He only had my name and address, but stated I was involved with an ongoing investigation. They had information that I was buying prescription drugs back in 2007 online from the Dominican Republic and having them delivered to my house. He tells me that purchasing drugs over the Internet or by telephone is illegal, and that "enforcement action" will be taken against me unless I cooperate and pay a fine or bond. Apparently, the shipment was sent from the Dominican to Florida and then shipped to NJ. I told him I never did such a thing and said "why would I have your information on my desk and why would I be calling you if you never did this". "I'm trying to help you" and would keep getting forceful if I tried to ask any questions.  He wanted to speak with both me an my husband throughout the conversation. At one point, I was getting so upset because this was freaking me out. I've never been in trouble or would do anything like this. He told me to stop crying that it makes me look guilty. This could be used against me in court. He then keeps putting me on hold to speak to his lieutenant. He told me that I would have to come to Tallahassee Florida to pay a bond and it would need to be done immediately. My husband told him (he wanted to speak to my husband at this point because I was upset, crying) that we have a child and my husband would have to stay home with him and couldn't take me to Florida. So the guy said I would have to come. Then the guy said let me speak to my lieutenant again and see if we could do something else. He gets back on the phone and says he will fedex me the paperwork and I needed to send him a certified check for $4100 to the Tallahassee court house and he would give us that address and to just put it to attention Luis Rodriguez. Once I sent the money, it would pay my bond and I would be enrolled in a defendant release program. I would have to report anytime I got a phone call regarding prescription drugs or got emails on prescription drugs, even spam emails. Once he said certified check, we asked for Peter Morgan's phone number and when he gave it to my husband, I reversed searched it and came to this page. I called the Tallahassee court house and they didn't have any information on me and told me it was a scam. We have also left a message for a DEA agent to let them know what happened. This guy Peter gave me a doc#, that was bogus when I checked with the Tallahassee court house and had us on the phone for a good half hour. That's how convincing this was. I was terrified, really shaken up and crying hysterically, not to mention this happens when I'm at work. Please please please be careful. You really can't trust people and need to be smart and look deeper into things.
