The caller, 805-324-7808, man , called us @ 9:33, 05/13/2013. He doesn't how to say our name. We told him " not to call again".
One person complaints with www.800notes.com on 05/10/2013.

This was a call from someone soliciting construction work around the house.  Once again, unsolicited call from  someone with whom I have had no previous contact.  Does anyone enforce the Do Not Call List, or by simply changing their numbers do these solicitors avoid enforcement sanctions?

Called my house and did not say anything when I answered the phone.

We all should call them everyday and night for a week.

The person asked for me  by name, and I believe he said his name was John Wilson but he said he was doing painting on our street (again used the name of the street) and when I objected to his calling me to solicit work, he used profanity.

Same problem as everyone else: I answered no-one responded.  I have added this number to my blocked numbers list, which is getting quite lengthy! :)

Guy identified himself as Rick Russel. Was whistling when I answered the call. Sounded like a loud obnoxious New Yorker. He hung up on me when I ask to be removed from their list.  I called the number back. Recording said the cell phone was no longer in service.  I think these low lifes are looking for vulnerable people. They look for perhaps, elderly, trusting and lonely widows and then take them for all they can get.

Caller ID on this number as BARBARACA SNTA. Meaningless, obviously. This is one of several scammers who claim to have spoken to you a few months ago about home improvements. They do seem to call from your local area code, so the calls looks vaguely legit. They have all kinds of tricks, like pretending to be in the middle of a conversation with someone else when they call, or sounding like they already know you. Criminals. Hanging up is about all you can do.

Typical idiot spamming marketer. May Karma grant these morons and their families devastating financial and health hardships immediately as a result of their spamming, scamming ways. They need to crawl back under the rock they climbed out from.

Somebody is making money off these calls or else we would not be bombarded with them year after year. I never answer any of them yet the calls keep on coming in the form of new numbers or numbers used from calls from a year ago.

they called this morning and I picked up --- there was someone on the line and I heard people talking in the background - like a boiler room scam. I then hung up. Caller ID says cell phone.

Mitch, BARBARACA SNTA  looks to me like it's saying  "Santa Barbara, CA", which is about 45 mi. north of me. Our area code is 805.     The call's still coming from a "crap caller" because when I called the # back just to see what happens, I got a recording that said "L A message Zero One Three: the cell phone number you are dialing is no longer in service"...    This is the 2nd crap call to my home # today, from 2 different #s, 2 different area codes.    I once had an 805 crap caller tell me that if the call's within 50 miles of my home, the "do not call registry" law didn't apply... He got an earful then, if no law applies :)

Adding lots of unsolicited phone numbers onto my block list with ATT online and this is a new one.

Yes, the ID says California but who knows.  They give the pitch that they are following up on a home remolding job that “I” spoke to them last year, last fall, last when every.   The only problem with that is that I haven’t spoken to anyone about work on the house in years.  They do this because it gets around the no previous contact rule.  If I had talked to them before I couldn’t complain when they call back on what supposedly was a follow up call.  I’ve been getting calls like this for months now.  If I register every bad call with the FCC, I’d be spending my whole day doing that.  Right now I have given up on trying to get off any list, I don’t even speak to them, just hang up.   And you know it’s going to be one of THOSE calls when they ask how I’m doing.  I have lupus, most people I know don’t ask me that sort of question
