Received a call from 805-413-8140.  Caller ID says Cost to Cost.  What is this?

Someone from this # keeps calling but won't leave any message. Any help would be appreciated.
I did research this Cost to Cost company and they don't sound very credible.

Someone called from this number. Caller ID said "8054138140 - California" and (not knowing anyone in CA) I didn't answer. A voicemail was left but it was less than 3 seconds long. Just some background noise (almost like a small party going on) and someone saying "Hello?" from a few feet away. Very odd.

I got a call too from this #. I live in Vegas.  They let it go to voicemail and then it was silent for about 10 seconds.  Just got it 1/2 hour ago.

YOU HAVE TO CALL 805-777-9270. THAT IS COAST TO COAST. THEY SAID THE 805-413-8140 WAS ONE OF THEIR COLLECTION NUMBERS. IT TOOK ME 4 CALLS TO TALK TO SOMEONE.

My strong guess is that is Republic Services (Trash) collections partner. That's why so many Vegas people.

I have been getting this # for months. I live in Ohio. I never get an answer or message.

I've been getting these calls for about a week now.  They just call, let it ring only 2 or 3 times, not long enough to go to voicemail.

recieved a call from 805-413-8140 0n May 1st at 6:20 pm cst caller id said cost to cost. I picked up the phone and they hung up. Who is this number?

I live in vegas and just got the same "Coast tot coast" numbe on 5-5-09  at 8:3- pm.

My Republic bill is paid a qtr. in advance so I don't know why they wouild call and hang up?

called 805-413-8140 and got voicemail for "jessica hernandez in customer service"

Looked them up via Better Business Bureau (F Rating = Not Good. They are debt collection company.)
Found main telephone lines for them 800-870-6397 and
805-777-9270

Day after day, hour after hour they call. Rings a few times before I pick up. ID shows Coast to coast. When I answer, they hang up
Isn't there a way to silence them?

I've had 3 calls from this number in the last half hour.  I need to find out how to opt out of this number at Verizon.

FOR OHIO & KENTUCKY RESIDENTS - this is a collection agency used by Rumpke, a waste management company.

The Dispatch is pretty shady about automatically renewing your subscription and then coming after you for money.

what is Republic Trash service collections  ALEX . [***] the trash company i thro my [***] away at the apartments next door!! same thing happens no one says a thing and hangs up . its called  harrasment .  and invasion of privacy to call me on my phone !.

I got 2 calls today about 1/2 hour apart.  I live in Columbus, Ohio.  I don't have Rumpke trash service and I did just subscribe to the Dispatch, but I paid in advance and my subscription isn't up for like 2 months so I don't know why collections would call me already.
