A recorded voice stating he is Steve Black and needed help with a personal matter-

This caller sounds very suspicious! Asking me to call her back 1-805-456-2571-- her name is Marie Smith -- that's what I heard from the voicemail that she left on my phone.

Tina Lopez -- Left a Ref. Number.  Anybody actually ever called it back?

Steve Black---left a refrence number to call back at 805-899-4440, I called there is voicemail of "Steve Black"

Call came in 9/9/109 1:34pm PST
said:
"Hi (my name) this is Diana, can you give me a call back?  805-456-2571"
The caller ID says CCC 805-456-2571 and it must be a collection call.  I didn't call her back and I won't.  They call every other day.

These are valid collections calls. It's usually an automated message that requests that you call "so and so" and gives you their direct number. Sometimes it's the account manager themselves that leaves the message.

Thought this was a scam call until I found a statement from them in a pile of mail.

Just because they're a collections company doesn't make them legitimate. They keep bugging me for a bill that was already paid in full by an insurance company years ago. I had to call them straighten this mess out with them two times already. They're either systemically dysfunctional or a bottom feeder, which is it?

These are the kind of bottom feeder credit companies that buy "bad credit debts" for pennies on the dollar. The primary creditor have probably already written off the loss on their books.

Called and left a message saying that it's concerning a dept! I know it's a phony call.. I don't have any debit with them people!! Getting sick of there calls!

No they’re not. They sent a email stating that someone has purchased a 2k dollar guitar.
