Now they're calling me from a new number, 805-876-5159. When I picked up the phone and said "Hello" they instantly said "I'm calling to speak with Amy xxx(my last name)." Then I confirmed my name is Amy. Then they instantly went on to claim "I'm calling because I'm an officer of the law". I stated "ok, how may I help you". Then he stated with his heavy indian accent that he is an "officer of the law and works on behalf of a law firm". I instantly interrupted him and stated that "an officer of the law works at the police department & the FBI. Officers of the law don't work at law offices making phone calls to people about debts that they owe". Then he said "Excuse me". I repeated myself and stated once again, "an officer of the law doesn't work at law firms personally making phone calls to people who may or may not owe a debt, A officer of the law works at police departments or FBI offices" Then this guy with a heavy indian accent instantly hung up on me, lol! This is crazy. They are such scam artists and liars. I guess they must've got wind of it after all the reports I filed against their other number being "707-666-9613" I originally called Telekenex & then filed with the phone company their with, I filed with the FTC & I filed with the FBI.gov. - I called to check on the FBI report and apparently these folks in India have been going around doing this with other phone numbers scamming people. To submit a complaint/tip to the FBI about these fraudsters go to https://tips.fbi.gov/ and when you file your report online and be descriptive about what occurred between you and the scammer who called you.

They are calling this an extortion scam related to people who applied for payday loans.

Report any calls you get to the FBI because, although the us government can't "stop" them, with enough reports they can do more eventually and can work with other goverments to work toward eventually getting an effective resolution in place.

I just got off the phone with them and they said they're faxing some form to me here at work because they said they need me to fill in my debit info and sign the bottom of the form stating that I wont dispute the charge. My colleague made a comment that I should send a check instead of "faxing" my debit info to them. So I didn't remember the name of their company and googled the number because I was trying to get the name of their company to put on a check instead of faxing my debit info. Also wanted to get their mailing address. Now I realize it's a scam I'm not sending them anything at all. Thanks for your warning post. I was about to use my rent money to pay them the $800 they said I owed them. I don't know what I would've done about rent but their phone call seemed scary and I didn't want to go to jail. Anyway, thanks for your warning post :-) Now that I think about it, the police don't monitor personal debts, that would be a civil matter and a creditor would have to send me a letter first giving me time to come up with the money I owe, etc.

The FBI is investigating this because their is a front man living here in America (who is from India) - The money initially goes to him in his American account and then he feeds the money to his "operators" who are located in India.

MY call was the same a guy said he was a police officer about a law suit, any I got mad he got mad and  up hung up. Icalled the number back and said that they were United Cash Loans. I her who I was and then she started the same thing all over again.

I received a phone call from these people yesterday.  The person, with a heavy Indian accent asked if he could speak to a person by my first and last name.  I told him no he could not and to not call back.  He immediately called back and said that he was calling from a law firm and I was in trouble.  I asked him how the weather was in New Delhi - he repeated he was from a law firm, I said don't call back here again or I would sue him.  It's nice to know that this is a scam.

I get calls also  from different numbers. Same person but different numbers. Scam from India.
Just keep reporting them. They can't even speak English . They need to get a life.I get a John Smith imagine

All I can say is watch your bank account closely. I hung up on them. Never gave them my personal information, yet they had it all. I got yet another call today, and this has been going on for over a year now. Last year, 2 days before Christmas, they took all my money on a payday. They closed my account. It took me almost 3 months to get my money back from the bank. I had to file a police report. Now I am deathly afraid of even having a new mandatory bank account for direct deposit, in fear that they will get that information as well.
I sure hope these people are caught soon!

These people called me from this number as well from 413-628-1340,they told me they were police from San Jose CA. when i called back they said San Diego CA. Told me not to leave the country and i had felony warrants for my arrest.I called the police and reported it.

They keep calling looking for my husband claiming that he never paid off a payday loan from December of 2012 and that the police would issue a warrant for his arrest because of it. After initially playing with them last week when they kept calling, I filed a local police report, then a complaint with the FBI. They called back again today, and said that the police would be here tomorrow between 11AM and Noon to arrest my husband. My response was "Okay good, that will give me plenty of time to clean up the blood and hide the body, thank you for letting me know!" And I hung up. They keep calling back asking "What happened, what did you do?" and I keep hanging up on them. These are fun phone calls and they are making my day even better :) I love messing with scamming losers like this :)

Did you apply online for a payday loan? That is how they got our bank account information. I contacted our bank and the three main credit companies to let them know to watch out for fraud. These guys are skeezy [***].

YES they are SCAMMERS THEY ARE NOT ATTORNYS... (or how thay say it...A-TORN-KNEES--LOL!!!)

Any low life scammer KNOWS it's expensive to retain an attorney. So they KNOW you will never get one. So they say this $hit "You or your attorney call me' OR "What's your attorneys number' thinking you will believe it's even MORE real and they scare you into sending them money...Well... I just happen to have a LAWYER in the FAMILY for FREE!!! And when I call their BLUFF they got angry and hung up. Don't let tough talk shake you down. You can't be arrested, you can't lose your drivers license, Nobody is showing up at work, nobody is showing up at your home, nobody is garnishing your wages. CARBON DIOXIDE spewing over a telephone in NOT legal. You have to receive a SUBPOENA. You get that THEN the dance begins and it's real. Till then just hang up on them.

Oh and on another note, you 'boosters, plants, shills at work... DON'T bother to write on this site telling everybody that they are NOT fake, they are real and how you had a nice experience with them and you settled for half... and don't try the old 'OH NOW I have a court date-I got served papers"  None of that $HIT is going to work unless you give the docket number the subpoena number, the court house the court date and the DECISION rendered for your follow up. This has been done on other sites and my lawyer traced the IP address and found it to be the SAME PERSON AS THE SCAMMERS!

I keep getting a call from this number. They do not leave a message. I have had a call from the same people with thick Indian accents calling I owe 1000.00.  I told them I was reporting them to our attorney general and they hung up in me.  Now a different number comes up. They actually called using our police dept unpublished number. My son is a police officer and said they have had others with that number they were investigating. I called them back with the 800 the left and told them about the number and again he hung up on me. Now this number.   I've reported this number as well.

I've just got a call from someone  telling me that, I owe  USA LOAN 456.78 these people just keep on calling. So I look them up by number and came up with the number 805-876-5159 FRAUT WRITTEN all over.

These people called me March 15, 7:35 PM EDT. I wasn't home, but saw the number on my call id. They didn't leave a message, but since I didn't recognize the number, I decided to do a search and found this blog. I once got caught up in the whole payday loan mess, so these people have my home number, but they no longer have my bank info. I changed all of that. Thought these people had stopped calling me, but every so often, they start again, calling my house, my cell, and my job. They leave weird messages with that strange Indian accent. My husband once picked up one of their calls, told the guy they were a bunch of crooks and scammers, and the guy cursed at my husband!! I don't answer any calls anymore from people I don't know. If you're legit, you'll leave me a legit message with a valid company name. Don't just call me and tell me that you "got something in your office and you must call us right away to resolve it," or "if you don't call us back right away we can't help what will happen to you next." These scammers are getting RIDICULOUS!!

Got a Call from these class A- jerks about an hour ago. Dead silence when I picked up. So I called the number back and got an answer from a man with a very heavy indian accent claiming I owed money for a loan and that there was a felony arrest warrant issued for me to be arrested at my place of employment at 11am tomorrow. I told him that 1) I don't owe anybody any money, 2) if he was calling about a legitimate debt he'd be obligated to provide me with a letter of proof and all documentation supporting the claim, and 3) a person cannot be arrested simply for owing a debt. He had my social security number and proceeded to tell me that if I refused to pay him over the phone right now, that I can just wait until morning when I get arrested to receive all of the appropriate documentation, and he hung up on me. I called the number once again, and he answered. This time I demanded HIS information, and asked his name. He stated he was "officer Rosen". So I asked, "oh are you a police officer"?  He said, "No I am a paralegal officer".  To which I responded, "well how interesting because paralegals DO NOT call themselves OFFICER."   And so I called him out on his lies and his scam and told him he better not call me again or I will report him to the FTC, FBI, and SAn Francisco PD, and I hung up on him.  LESS than 5 minutes later, my phone rings and displays the actual number to an actual police station in San FRancisco. I picked up and it was a man disguising his voice as a female, but with an indian accent.  He claimed to be calling from San Francisco Police Dept.  So I said "REally..... What is your name and badge number?'  He/She said "I am Officer Lisa Watson and my badge number is 926"  I then called him out and said, "that's funny because SFPD badge numbers are 4 digits long, not 3"!   And when I asked which station he was calling from he said, "the garden grove station." And I told him "Stop lying because their IS NO garden grove station with the San Francisco Police Dept. So stop calling me with your scam and lies and I am now going to report you to the authorities for impersonating a police officer and pretending to call from a legitimate police station, and fraudulently masking your own phone # with the phone number to an actual police station!"  He then hung up and I reported them to the FBI in san francisco, and to San Francisco Police Dept, and to the FTC. So people listen up VERY closely. These people are now actually masking their own phones with the numbers to actual police departments. DO NOT BE FOOLED. Demand their name and badge number and phone number to the station and call the REAL station back to verify the call. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE!!!!!  Please record your calls. There is a very good service I signed up for online called Message Shuttle. You can sign up for free and it is a messaging and dictation service. How it works is you sign up to get started. Once you get the scam phone call, ask them to hold for a moment. Then you dial the call-in number for Message Shuttle and enter your passcode. Once you enter the passcode, you command it to start recording. You will hear the beep that it's recording and then you click over and connect the calls on 3-way so that you can record the calls from these jerks. When you are done with the call, you press 5 to stop the recording. Within 10 minutes, the recording is emailed to you as a WAV file for you to play and keep. PEOPLE....PLEASE START DOCUMENTING AND RECORDING ALL OF THESE TYPES OF PHONE CALLS...  THESE PEOPLE WILL NOT STOP UNLESS THEY ARE STOPPED. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THEM IS TO REPORT THEM WITH PROOF.!!!!

Hi Jason....  Oh I just saw your post..  WOW. Please don't ever just give in to these people and agree to send them any sort of payment. Remember that if it TRULY is a legitimate debt, you have the right to ask for a letter or proof or assignment to prove the loan is now theirs to collect on. Second, their is no such thing as debtor's jail time, so you will not be arrested for defaulting on a loan. And lastly, always ask for all contact information and if they refuse then that's a red flag. Please scroll down and read my post of what happened to me today.
