Identical to Walter's experience. I never answer unfamiliar numbers. No message was left. Suspect this is yet another number being high jacked or faked by the throng of telemarting scammers. I get calls like this from several different numbers ever since my resume was posted to various job boards.

Called Sunday at 10:30AM but no message was left

Similar experience, but they are calling my cell phone.

Came in on my cell phone with a 2:41 voicemail where a female voice said "hello" once then left the line open far an additional 2 minutes. Background chatter sounded like a call center environment with a lot of different indistinct voices.

I called the number back.  I've been submitting applications in the LA area.  I got a recording regarding furthering my education and career.

That explains it then, submitting applications to job boards gets a call from this number.

got a call from this number. no message left. undoubtedly acquired via job hunting sites that I've been to, along w/a myriad of other phone calls I've received from unknown numbers.

Called the number back.  They asked me if I was interested in a home-based job.

805-904-1578 Northern Los Angeles Area.  Did not pick up the call since I know this is a scammer.

Its an auto dailer service and then they sell I got three different calls for schools

this is a telemarketer from "Academic Advisors" to further your education.

Yea if you are looking for work you got to be careful of what website you go to.  I went to some website and it didn't look right and I put my cell phone in.  I use my cell phone for family and for employers to call me for job interviews. that's it. My cell is on my resume.  Ever since Jan 5th or so since going to that stupid website, I've gotten these stupid [***] phone calls about MyFootPath or Career Advantage calling me saying a line of [***] saying "Hi, my name is ))))) and I saw that you filled out an application so you can go to back to school.  The last time I got a phone call from some idiot like this I said "James, can I talk since you have been going on and on?" He said sure.  I said "back around Jan 2nd or so I filled out a job application on line and all I was doing was looking for a full-time job. Now I have an MBA. Do you think I need to go back to school to get another degree?"  He said "Um, No".  I said, "No, I don't need another degree. I need a job. Now please take me off your call list, thank you."

Not all job boards. Just ones that look very weird. indeed dot com is a great job board. So is simply hired. But some others that just have a funny feel - you will know it is wrong when you see the webpage when it does NOT advertise a specific job. If it don't look right, don't fill it out.

I looked through my history and I found all of these websites.
But I only remember one that I shouldn't have used and that ws wehirecenter.com.
That webpage didn't look right. Some others looked legit. Some of these were may be
pop up ads.

Lady came on. She said she was with Academic Advisors. Asked me if I wanted to further education. I said I already had a degree, and had a job. Asked her for her manager and what college she represented. She hung up. [***] her and [***] the telemarketing company she represents.

I received a call today on my cell phone from the number 805-904-1578.  I did not answer the phone when it rang.  My cell phone number is only given to my family and since I didn't recognize the number I did not answer the call.  When I called the number I received the message:  The person you called is no longer on the line.  My call could not be completed.

They have repeatedly harassed me from various numbers including this one on my cell phone, which is on the do not call registry. I've told them repeatedly that I never applied for education information, and that if I had I could do better than call center scammers. They always apologize and hang up, yet the calls continue. Clearly not a legitimate business.

Called my cell phone, 3 rings, 4?.  No message.
