If 805-982-6444   is   "ARS National Services, Inc",  then why does the Caller ID  read   "Navy Port Hueneme"  (Point Mugu), just wondering.  I didn't know if I was being re-activated and I let the answering machine take it,  lol.   They didn't leave a message.

We got a call from this number, and the caller ID said "Navy Port Hueneme".  It was a recorded call about lowering interest rates.

These guys just called and the recording said that --
"This is [???] card services, All is well with your card, there is no need to be alarmed, however, there is a matter of urgent need that you respond to us regarding the lowering of your cards interest rate to a low 6.9% and your time to do this is about to expire. Regard this as your final notice. Please press 1 to be connected to a service agent or press 2 to be taken off our listing".
To be honest here, it almost sounded professional, and i was thinking it might be my actual card co calling me with a deal cuz I had inquired about an interest reduction some months ago. So I pressed 1 to speak to a rep and find out what was what. But of course the guy didnt even know which bank card I have and then just listed several saying, "You have one of these right?". He asked for my name but I said, "Sir, before I would ever think of giving you any of my information, you have yet to tell me WHO YOU ARE and THE NAME OF THE COMPANY YOU ARE CALLING FROM!" He then said his name and that he was calling from the State of Florida, [however, the number on my screen was an 805 number-- clearly an area code from California]....
Needless to say, he hung up on me. I called back several times to give him a taste of his own medicine, but it just goes to a busy signal.

Definite spammer. Said they were calling from credit card services, but did not identify a company.

I got call from this number last Friday (11/15) and they said the same message as  NoEscape4Babylon mentioned. Today I even got a email about same information sent from Derek <sibyl@drubcrew.com>, but they didn't even list what kind of Credit card. Spammer for sure.

I rec'd. two calls from this number.  My cell doesn't work except texting.   Am waiting for important call from insurance company.    Tried to get to phone but they were gone. Twice. This caller woke me up, as I have been getting to sleep after 4 AM for some time.

I just got the same exact call. It was a woman she was asking for my credit call number after the first four. I told her I could give her the last four she said she needs all the numbers after the first four I told her if you have all my info then u should be able to verify from the last four. Then I asked could she give me her number I would call her back. She said I am trying to help you lowering your rate. I said give me your number I will call you back she hung up on me. I asked her was does the number say navy port. This is a scam

I'm at home and have been for several yrs. this co. changes it's name and phone# continuously, Funny thing is I own no card, The calls won't stop even if you ask them to, or block it they just use a different # talk about annoying they start at 8a.m. and go until after 8p.m.. and the people working there have no idea what a sham it is they will tell you that they only have been open for a month when in all actuality they have been around for around  6yr.. I hope someone with the resources can take them to the cleaners and put it to an end. Ready to scream since they are making it look like the(NAVY) is calling me now . Can we all make a class action suit against them I have a long list of phone numbers they have been using and who I talk to. Just a hint record it if you can pretend your interested get all info. you can ask which card you have they can help you with (big name) what rate anything you can, then let them know you don't own that card see if they cuss you out like the guy I talked to last month boy was he a dusy  called me a bloody B . (sorry language) sounded scary and nasty worse one yet!!!

Anyone who uses deceit in their name display would not be someone I could ever fully trust.   It's unprofessional.  I have a Panasonic cordless phone with call block, but this is the first call, so will give them a few more shots b4 blocking.

Remarkable - the caller ID said "CREDIT CARD SCA". I think it was actually reading CREDIT CARD SCAM! I didn't answer it, since I never answer a number I don't recognize. If they're legitimate, they will leave a message.

Just got the call from 'the navy.' See November comments above. I did not answer and they left no message.

I got a call from the same number (805-982-6444) on my cell phone.  I did not recognize it so I let it ring.  They did not leave a message of any type.

I received a call from Card member services about lowering a rate.  I am supposed to be on the do not call list...

I received the call from this # as everyone has referenced below. When I kept asking what card her was referring to he just named off 5 different companies (City Bank, Chase, etc). I do not have a credit card with any of the companies he listed. When I continuted to ask him what he was callign about he was unable to answer, and so I ask it it was a telemarketing call or scam. At  this point he got angry, called me a stupid woman, and hung up on me,

I am getting so many of these calls. When I google these numbers, they are numbers from legitimate businesses/ individuals. I called Verizon about this. Basically I was told to reregister on the Do Not Call list.  She said when the government shut down last year, the Do No Call went was deactivated. So register every year.

The Verizon rep gave you false information. What happened during the shutdown was that new registrations were not being taken, complaints were not being taken and registered telemarketers could not obtain updated lists.  All numbers previously registered were still there so no re-registration is required.  All that does is open up a 30 day window when even registered telemarketers can call you.  The DNC can also not help you with those who spoof their caller ID since they are not registered anyway.  It also sounds like the Verizon rep has no idea how the DNC actually works and what to expect when you register.  Here is what the FTC has to say about that:
