Sounds like someone used the conference-call ability of a business PBX to connect that message to another number. I pulled pranks like that ... long ago when I was young.

Called twice in a week.  Unsolicited.  Have received numerous calls from wide variety of numbers in the past two months.  This is new.  Never had problems before,  and am on the "no call list."

Calling at least 2X daily.

Calls multiple times each week.  Never leaves a message.  I answered once to ask them to take me off their call list and they hung up immediately.  Then called again a few hours later.

IMC scammer.....leaves no message called at 8:15 AM. Wait till they call again!!!!! I'll melt their ears.

Numerous "local" calls from this, no message left, no name other than IMC and it is unknown.  Not answered not blocked.

Replying to my own: just entered the number in my call blocker and it did a double beep indicating it was already there.  Guess this blocker is  not so sharp.  It will remain unnamed but it is a 2 letter name.

Well, these jerks called again tonight. I answered, said hello, and there was the customary silence. Since this had happened countless times before I waited a couple more seconds and said "I don't know why you keep calling when you won't say anything".  The caller then hung up. Determined to end this harassment I called back and was a little shocked when the announcement said "thank you for calling the National Rifle Association"!

So now we've learned that IMC=NRA.

Does not answer, but calls back incessantly.

TO REMOVE YOUR NUMBER REMOVED:  I followed Disgusted's lead but listened to the entire message.  It gives an option to remove your number by pressing 1 "for more information."  Thanks, Disgusted.  One robo-call down, 270,000 to go!

Actually, if you pressed a key, be prepared for more calls as you've probably marked your number as 'live'.

caller calls 2 to 3 times a day but never leaves a message

Hangup calls, and fails to respond when phone is answered. On the callback a recording says, "This is the National Rifle Association." There is no live person. I think I will let the National Rifle Association know and report this to my local Police Department to file harassment charges.

Sounds like dirty tactics during the buildup of the election season for the next President, all in the House of Representatives, and one-third of the Senate. So far, none of know who is making these calls, as telemarketers and fundraisers keep their outgoing numbers secret.

Anyone can put anything on their outgoing message of an answering machine or voice mail.

Until the National Rifle Association identifies ALL the numbers used by their organization as well as by fundraisers they contract with (doubtful as even charities don't do this), consider it a scammer calling and block the number.

Called again... It's not the NRA  I have spoken to three ranking officers and they say it's a scammer, but they never say anything or ask for anything and only sometime leave a recorded message. Could be prankers or nut job???

IMC is basically a fund-raiser propagandist for NRA.  At least that's what they seem like, based on my research.  They use scammy methods such as calling and refusing to ID themselves.  They want you to take a survey and then they want to ask some questions.  They may also be attempting to collect money.  Ignore and block any calls from IMC.

Called repeatedly. Finally answered & male asked for someone not @ residence. Informed him no such person & he said they would update their data.
