- LOL..StillClaims to be debt collector from payday loan that I did NOT have. Threatening messages asking for attorney info. and saying "God Bless You and Good Luck". Speak VERY broken English. Gives American/English name with STRONG middle-eastern accent. ie: Officer Mark Reneiecen, Aaron Thompson, Mike Davis, Michael Davis, Shane Harris, Shaun Harris,John Adams, John Rogers, Eric Williams . Threatening jail time, “a bad situation unfolds”, court fees. Sometimes claims to be from "All American Financial" or "Federal Dept. of Justice." Claims to "download" a subpoena..arrest warrant...law suit..going to arrest me at work...meet me at courthouse...must have my "retained attorney of record" call as soon as possible. Sometimes has the nerve to say “God Bless You” or “Good Luck”. HILARIOUS considering I actually work for the state level Justice Cabinet! Sometimes claims to be representing CashNetUSA or CashUSA.Net. I called CashNetUSA and they stated that this was a scam. They have NO information on me whatsoever. Call cell, place of business..and anyone you may have listed as a reference on an online payday loan or anything else....from years ago! Gave him the # to my attorney....the Better Business Bureau....became irate. Also give number to local police fraud division as attorney’s number. Using female “Kim Stewart from Jaffe and Jaffe Law Firm” claims to have sent legal documents to a gmail account. So silly!

Have filed/reported complaint with State Attorney General's Office, IC3, Credit.com, this website, numerous other scam alert websites and anyone else who will listen, it is actually VERY comical now. My co-workers and I enjoy listening to the voice messages or "playing along" with their script. "We will arrest you at work." where do I work?" "You know where you work." Complete IDIOTS!!- Call type: Debt collector
- lexdiamonzJust got a call from these same guys that have been bothering me saying name is Officer Jon Black from dept. of law enforcement haaha ... I spoke with him and then said his name was Offcr james thompson and he went on with whole routine theres a case against me and i will be arrested blah blah blah .. I responded by telling him that i been instructed by my lawyer, the fbi (which i am in current contact with) and local police dept to not speak with them and that if they had a claim to call one of the three and they said "ok thank you" and they said we are just going to file the case i told them to go ahead cuz fbi is coming after them and that only god can help them and they hung up on me

- Jmax| 4 repliesJust received a call from an unlisted number. They asked for me by name and said they were calling from an outsourced tech support company that works for microsoft. They said they were calling me because my computer had been sending them error messages and they wanted me to follow their instructions and give them information about my computer. I told them if they were legit they wouldn't have to ask me for that information or call from an unlisted number. After heavy inquiry they finally said they were with Star Tech Support or something to that effect Eventually they gave me this number to call a technician with the company. But then he told me to wait 10 minutes before I called... so I hung up and called it immediately. The guy answered the phone "Hello?" and so I answered back hello? who is this? and he said is this J? and I was like how did you know it was me? He said the other guy had contacted him (boy that was fast) so I asked him why he didn't answer with his company name and he said because he was expecting my call. lol So I said I think you guys are a scam and he said "then I don't want to talk to you" and hung up.

- Pam| 1 replyI received a phone call (un-solicited) 12/4/12 from a man calling himself Steve Rice saying he was a tech with Microsoft wanting me help me rid my computer of error messages and security warnings he says were being sent .. I questioned this person... who was very difficult to understand by the way... on how to validate that he was legitimate and this was a legitimate call.. I have never received a call fro Microsoft in the past and told him I would not make changes to my computer without being able to verify he was who he claimed to be... He sounded like he was middle eastern and even said he was from India when I suggested a nationality.. he then gave me a phone number to call him back (806-0590-7967)I did call this number back and someone else answered the phone and gave the call to this Steve person when given the name. He offered to even have his supervisor call me if that would make me feel more safe.. I said even if he did that I could no be assured it was legitimate. He then said he would have his supervisor call me back... that I should stay by the phone.. well guess what ?? ...no call back. I had a feeling this was not a valid source and decided to check with my Microsoft security
- Resident47 replies to PamYour feeling is correct. Your Indian pal with the Americanesque alias was trying to swindle you. This is the fake PC tech scam. See this thread:

Looking at comments here from 2011, it appears the call center has rotated its scam crop from fake debt collection. - GailThey claimed to be from Microsoft support said they got an email from me saying I have trouble with my computer. They wanted me to give them remote access to my computer so they could help me. Heavy Indian accent with American names. But suspect they are not from India at all.

- LolliSame scam as jmax and pam. said his name was roger and gave this number to call them back on. said they were microsoft support contractor with the company name of star tech.

- DanI received same kind of call on April 8th 2013. Claimed they worked for Microsoft and that I had a "Bot" or malicious software in my computer and they were calling to fix it. I was busy at the time and the 1st number came up on my caller ID as 214-460-xxxx when I called back it was a housewife in TX. They called me back from the 806-590-7967 number trying to sell me a computer fix for this "Bot" they wanted me to pay them $149 for a computer fix and a virus protection program. I called Microsoft piracy dept to learn they don't use outside software Techs. They also spoke with a heavy Indian accent. His name was also Roger and Sam was another one I talked to.
- Caller: They said Microsoft
- Lezlee replies to JmaxI had the same thing happen to me today!

- LisaRoger and Jack are the one's that called me. I told them that they were scammers and to look their number on line. Roger read what Dan had written and said that they worked with Dan and needed to call him back and they would call me later...I don't think I will be hearing from them. Thanks for posting these because other wise I don't know how far they would of taken me with my computer.

- StanGot a call from Bob at this company. Was very calm and professional. Said his certification license number was 5617 or something. Sounded as though they were trying to get my confidence. Said he was with the "Windows Support Tech Team" and they've noticed I've hit "report to Microsoft" on several errors. Walked me through looking at my Event Viewer and showed great concern that I've gotten warnings. He told me if I didn't go to Team Viewer, install their remote control software, allow them take control of my PC to diagnose it, I would get a black screen and my PC would be dead. I'd lose all of my data.
What they were doing was free but they may need to charge me for replacing any missing Windows components causing the errors. Looking through your reports, that charge would've been $149.
I didn't want anyone looking at my PC because I have all of my financial data on it. My life. My identity. He gave me this number to call them back at. I'm glad I searched on it.
It hits me now:
- Microsoft wouldn't be calling me, I've always seen an 800 number on the screen.
- Microsoft wouldn't offer to help for free. I'd have to pay a fee for support up front.
- Microsoft really doesn't care if my old PC crashes. Then I'd have to go and buy a new PC and all upgrade all the versions of my software making them a ton of money.
- Microsoft typically pushes the support responsibilities to the PC manufacturer.
This made no sense. Thanks to all of you on here. They made it so convincing. I was very concerned and almost let them do it.- Caller: Windows Support Tech Team
- StanSearching more the company is actually I-Technopoint Solutions.

- michelle replies to JmaxSame Microsoft call - unlisted number - forced them to give me a callback number - same guy answered phone and said Microsoft tech support - why would microsoft ever call me? i've used microsoft products since the beginning and have never received a call - there is nothing wrong with my computer - though i am running a full-scan now - told the guy never to call me again and if they did i would notify the police
- JudyGot called today by these same people. Adam this time. I told him I wasn't comfortable with what they were wanting. Took his number and googled it, and here I am! Really glad we have these web sites. Thanks to y'all!

- IT ManagerThey called my home number claiming that my girlfriends PC was putting out spam and viruses and they needed access to it. They almost had her convinced but she emailed me at work. We have six PC's running through the same router, so I explained to her that there is no way to trace our IP address much less which PC and associate it with our phone number.
I do have one question for these scum sucking filthy untouchables, "Jab tu paida hua tho aagey se ya peechey se nikla tha chutiya?"- Caller: I-Technopoint Solutions
- fell for a minuteYeah, I fell for it for a minute....about a year ago they called me claiming to be from Microsoft and I had an 89% failure on the hard drive of my pc. I hung up on them and called the Microsoft customer service number on the disc box...they said that they do have techs call sometimes, so when they called today, I let them have access to my pc for a complete scan....STUPID!!! After watching it scan for 2 hours, they asked me for my phone # and wanted me to register with Western Union???? I told them I was already registered with WU and they said I had to do it again???? Then they locked up my pc and held it hostage for more than three hours! I finally convinced them that I did not have credit cards or a checking account to register, that I did everything in cash and by money orders or a physical western union transfer...they finally unlocked my computer and hung up on me when I told them I was calling the police!
