Me too I got called yesterday and today when I try to call back it doesn't connect?!

Is this an american site? I just got a call from 00 8080044489 on my mobile?? anyone know who it is?

its a military forces (UK or Yank) sat phone from afghanistan, do you have somebody you know away who may be wanting to call you?

I got that missed phone call last 2 nights ago and last night I missed it twice,always the same sort of time, when I am asleep , about 3-4 am

I thought it was Vodafone because they said that is where they are calling from, took a security check and then hung up?!  I called Vodafone back to see what it was about and they said that no-one had called me and that they would have known if they had tried.

Vodafone said that this is more than likely a company trying to steal your account details and to not give them any personal info!!

Dont give them anything!!

I have received dozens of calls from this number but did not answer as I know it is not an International dial code, Searched the net to see where it is coming from and found this site. Agree it is a "CON" and possibly after your details also I have found out if you answer you also pay a high rate or the call. I have spoken to Vodafone to management level and they could assure me that they have notcalled and this isNOT ne of their numbers. So if anyone can throw any light on this then I am happy to take further action.

I have been receiving these calls daily and it rings and hangs up? When i try and call it back it doesn't go through.... Vodafone did call me couple of days ago... so unsure if it was a follow up call, like they do. Is this a scam or not? Have people been been advised to ignore it? I am wondering if Vodafone can barr it? So frustrating!

me too, I never answer but its nevertheless annoying, can vodaphone bar the number???

I just got a call from 00 8080044489, gave no details but they had mine.  I contacted Vodafone on 191 and they confirmed that it was them that had called and the call had been logged on their system.

Had 2 missed calls today. Read forum comments so was prepared when they rang for a third time. Caller was from Vodafone wanting to know whether I had any friends and family on pay as you go contracts as they had deals. Told them that I didn't. He then asked if all was okay with my contract.

Of course it's not Vodafone! Otherwise when i copy and pasted this number into google it would have come up with Vodafone wouldn't it. It's a scam and people are tryin to get your details by pretending that its someone calling from Vodafone
