810-406-1948. Claims to be from criminal department IRS claiming tax balances and asking for immediate payment etc. will not give a id number or notice number etc. and has partial information like address and dob.
Confirmed with IRS that this is a fraud specifically targeting immigrant community with threats of arrest etc. the name he gave me was Mark Wilson.

I also had the same experience on Jan 9 like Spark.  Whoever is behind this number should be prosecuted.

The man called saying he was Officer Shawn and form the FBI
He gave me a fake badge number and was trying to convince us to try to pay cash for the unpaid taxes that we supposedly owed the canadian government. Turns out it was a scam like the pervious entries

This is the second time I have received this kind of phone call from 1 810 406 1948.
Not nice for whoever is doing this.

I got voice msg that he has some leagal calim againts and he is from crime investigation and left call back no 810 406 1948
so any one gets same threating msg don't call back

Told us to give him my fathers cell number and when I refused to he said stop wasting my time and give me his number. I said I will pass on the number to him and he would get back to you.

Second call, we threatened to call the police and the person started swearing in a different language.

Tried calling again - call ingnored.

The caller called my home and spoke to my mother. Called 6 times and left numerous VMs. Threatened to send cops to my house and arrest my mom. Take away all her identification, unless she agreed to pay her outdated taxes.

Frantically, she refused and gave my number as I was at work. He called me and said his name was Jim Walker from the Criminal Investigations Unit at the CRA. Asked if the state police or sheriff had contacted me (we don't have state police or sheriffs in Canada).

He wanted to confirm my home address and claimed that he was sending cops to my house in 30 minutes to arrest me. I said I needed to pack a few things but I should be ready when they arrive. There was silence on the phone for a few seconds and then he said in a slow low tone "I'd be locked up for 17 months" and hung up.

We received the same call from a Max Wilson. Saying there is a crime investigation with a sworn affidavit against me. So this is fraud I am from Canada . thanks

Well I got same call from 810 406 1948.and Jim Parker told me that he have affidavit against me.its a voice mail though.thretning the investigation will start against me. I was scared at first but when I seen other people messages.i am laughing on this guy.and off course myself..lol

I received a call from 1.613.704.0164 from Crime Investigating Agency of CRA telling that has the local police contacted me yet. When I said no, he transferred the call to a senior officer James. The guy repeated the same thing and said that I am being charged under sections ...... When I said, cut this section BS and tell me what it is about, he hung. The amazing thing is if you call this number back, someone addressing himself from crime branch picks the phone. I did not panicked because I am a salaried guy whose taxes are deducted at source.
