Called, interested in my book, wanted to promote it... told him I did not care if the book was promoted because I was terminal now and didn't want to bother with much else.  It was an obvious telemarketing type company or scam type company  as I could hear others in the background. Wanted to send me an email and I refused, left the following number for me to call:  877-820-5393 ext. 5817
Could have been legit? more than likely not.

The phone rang I picked up heard some noise they hung up, then it rang again same thing. So, I dialed start 69 to get the caller number because the area code was not familiar to me as I live in Quebec Canada. So, it's still a mystery. Just thought I would report it anyway, since I couldn't find anything else on it.
It was 812-650-0897.

The call is from some kind of publishing house.

I have gotten several calls from 812-650-0897 which are just music. Whether I answer the phone or it goes to my answering machine there is never a person, just music. Annoying.

Author House Publishing sounds most likely. I have been contacted by them before form the UK; this time the US.

Yes, they are likely calling from Author House Publishing, UK. Had email from the company not so long ago.

But they were not sensitive to calling very early in the morning to Malaysia at 1.32 am in the morning today 15th Sept 2010. Fortunately they called my mobile which was on vibration mode when I was asleep.

I have also taked to some one from Uk, and then it has been shifted to USA, Now i am being Called from the same number many times and i have also given them my bebit card number, should i go a =head or not , let me conform this, please help me, that what should i do next

Just got this call 2 x. No message left. I didn't and won't answer calls I don't know the number to.

I receive a phone call from someone using this telephone number. Since I do not speak English the person hung up [I am having this message sent my another person].  I was curious as I am all the way in Spain.

My friend told me it sounded like a scam and I should not have said it was me once this person asked specifically for my name.

Looks too suspicious

I had a call from this company too. Actually, I expected this as I did accidentally sign up some sort of deal with the company, and I was a kid back then. I don't believe it to be a spam call as there was indeed a person who discussed to me about it.

I believe other than marketing, it is also looking up older customers.

I can't believe these people!!!!!---Didn't recognize this number, and I found out this number was from Author publishing house from checking this number online---I get this call usually at night, and all I can hear something and noone responds to my hello----very very frustrating and irritating!  I wish they would stop calling me! Aaargh!

This company called me.  I would not be surprised if it was a telemarketer of some sort.  Thankfully, I didn't even hear the phone.

Called wanting to publish my book? I said what book,She was Jamaican and I couldnt understand her told her to have someone that speaks English to call me .The Calls have now stopped.By the way I have never written a book lol

This is a company wanting to help me "self-publish" my book.  I told them I wasn't interested, but they are insistant! LOL
