- Rickspam. caller id says FLORIDA. the entire state of Florida is calling? Really? I don't time to talk to everyone in that state so I didn't answer. Morons.
- Caller: FLORIDA
- Call type: Telemarketer
- ArchieCall ID says Florida. Spammers I believe. Not impressed. They keep using different numbers. Have blocked this number,
- SherlockThese scammers also call from 813-891-9046 & 727-544-3031 with the same 'FLORIDA' Caller ID. Some of the 800 Notes reports for these other numbers say it's a debt collector while others say it's a 'save money on your energy bill' scam. It's possible it's a debt collector hiding behind an 'energy savings' cover story.

- Sallyjust called but using caller ID of Nakia Rumph. Hung up after 4 rings
- anonymous| 2 repliesLots of people are randomly receiving calls from this number recently. If you google the number, results show the number associated with two people in Tampa, Fl: Nakia Rumph and Kathyrn Reeve. I seriously doubt that either of these people are calling people randomly. One poster attempted to return the call and got a recording that the number was no longer in service. This sounds suspiciously like another SCAMMER who is hi-jacking (spoofing) the phone
numbers of innocent people (and also the numbers of small businesses according to the BBB warning about this scam). If you ever discover that your phone number as been spoofed, report it to the local authorities, your state attorney general office and the federal communications commission and request an investigation. Caller ID spoofing is prohibited according to the Federal Communications Commission, and the Truth in Caller ID Act of 2009. It is punishable by up to a 10,000.00 fine per violation. Why people are allowed to create apps that can change the phone number in the caller ID to any number
they wish when it is unlawful to use the app is mind-boggling. As for the fine, it might as well be 1 million dollar fine per violation if no-one ever gets caught. It's hard to believe that people in this world have degenerated to this point. I
feel terrible for the innocent people whose phone numbers are being violated for the agendas of unethical people.- Caller: Florida
- alan m. replies to anonymous| 1 replyThe government won't crack down, and the phone companies are willing accomplices because they make money off the scammers. Our best hope is private enterprise coming up with tech solutions to the problem.
- MCSame for us, Wont talk or LvMsg so turned in. If prosecuted you need to have filed with FCC
https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.action?form_type=1088D - BobZ replies to alan m.Good idea to an extent but here is something a bit better: Write your congress men and women that we need better enforcement of DO NOT CALL and add a federal law (like Washington State) to make robo calls illegal with significant fines.
I have a separate call blocker and once an area code/phone exchange has called me 2 or 3 times I block the entire area code/exchange. I also try not to answer phone calls with unknown ID/generic caller id but this can occasionally be a bit counterproductive so we need our well paid government leaders to do some helpful work for a change. - SUSANI think putting my name on yet another list is a waste of time. I got a blocker ( sentry about $30) and it works like a charm. At last I have peace and quiet . When a new number calls - my phone rings once - they get the message and thats it - I block them and never hear from that number again. Its better than the "block all XXX " numbers because you never know who has to reach you ( cc company , bank, fraud alert etc that may have numbers in that location. ) It was the best $30 I ever spent - easy to use. I get about one new call every other day or so. If I am not sure I check with this wonderful website before I block them permanently.

- bertfwCaller ID just said "Florida". They left no message. Since they left no message I can't be sure, but a CID of just "Florida" is the same MO that the "home energy assessment" scammers use.
- mlbrec'd call from 407-749-0962 (didn't answer) and immediately after, rec'd call from Nakia Rumph at 813-253-0296. I'm assuming same scammer.
- mcbffew minutes ago received a call from 813-253-0296...phone rang 3 times then they hang up.
- CarolI received a call from this number and I live in Florida and have friends who live in Tampa (813 area code) so I answered it. No one spoke so I hung up and looked it up here. Now I've blocked the number thanks to all your input. I'm glad there are sites like these where we can at least list the numbers that are bothering us so we can block them.

- EllaReceived call from (813)253-0296 at 7:16pm on Tuesday November 18, 2014, answered and there was a lot of noise and people talking. I hung up the phone and tried calling back but the number said that the number is disconnected and no longer in service. This is extremely annoying that hackers can access phone numbers!!!!
