I have been receiving calls from this number supposedly from an L Ryan and @sses, about some supposed summons for some nonsense.  Supposedly I owed money to a company called Payday.  Just Payday, no DBA no real company name, just Payday.  I told them they were full of it and hung up.  About two seconds later they called me back and tried to get loud and abusive until I told them I was recording our conversation and then suddenly this dum@ss didn't want to talk about anything.  I've received a couple automated calls but no real person called me again.  That is until today, when a supposed Brown, Meyer and @sses called with the same story and from the exact same number 8132611150.  I pretended I had no idea what she was talking about until I could hear the scam this time.  When I asked her why they were calling from the exact same number as L Ryan and @sses she said L Ryan were there lawyers.  OK, now there are many problems with her story.  First off, any real bill collector immediately tells you this is an attempt to collect a debt and you are being recorded etc., second, why would a supposed law office(Brown, Meyer and clowns) need another law office in the same city to represent them? and finally, when asked if her company was licensed to collect debt in my state she said of course they were, so I asked her for the license number and she of course had no idea what it was.  I don't know where they find these idiots to work for them but their training program for these clowns is awful.  In case any of you idiots from L Ryan or Brown Meyer are reading this I understand why you do this kind of work.  I really do.  I understand that working at McDonalds was too taxing mentally of a job for you, but you are not any good at this job either.  Do us all a favor and disappear forever.  You will not be missed. Oh yeah, I have reported you to the New York State AG.  Hope you hear from them soon and say hi to my girl Megan Lundy.

I have kept a record of these call written down.  I have caller ID and have blocked them but one of these days I wil unblock and give them a piece of my mind.  I have no idea what they want or who they are, but if they are a debt collector I do not owe anyone anything. The first call I have recorded for this number is on 2/8/11 but they use to use 866-434-7229 and when I got the first call from this number they were looking for someone I had never heard of and told them that and they said they would remove my number.  While they did from the old number they have not from this number.  Will keep documenting the time and date of each call and then report them pretty soon.  This is just plain harasement.

Been receiving phone calls from both the L Ryan Copeland a Brown Myer and Associates. They used the same number and were attempting to contact a muffled and garbled Spanish sounding name. I've never called them back... I don't have a reason to, they aren't asking for me and I don't have any issues with the law or oustanding debts. They just keep on calling. Well their automated calling system does all of that for them.  I'm pretty patient but this has been happening about four times a week for the last three months. This is harassment and if anyone knows of a way to make them stop let me know.

If this company is legitimate it sure does not act like it is. They refuse to give their address! What kind of law office refuses to divulge their address? Perhaps one that is a scam. Report Brown, Meyer & Associates (813) 261-1150 immediately to the (www.FTC.gov), Florida Attorney General (www.myfloridalegal.com) and the Florida Office of Financial Regulation (www.flofr.com/Director/complaints.htm).
Debt collectors in Florida must be registered and Brown, Meyers and Associates is not registered as a collection agency.

If you are contacted by this company, please be careful not to dilvuge your personal bank account information or your social security number. One of their employees, Tanya Lewis, was arrested in April 2011 for petty theft and she listed her employer as Brown, Meyer & Associates, a collection agency. I have received phone calls from this number at least four times a day. They keep telling me that I owe a place called Cash Advance 400.00 dollars and that I need to contact them to pay it off or I will be taking to court for fraud. The girl that I was talking to was chewing in my ear the whole time.

Call them and tell them to take you off of their calling list.  And if they do not, then you will report this number to a higher authority.  Do not give them a chance to even say one word to you.  This is a HUGE scam.

You know what I got a call from 813-261-1150 Brown Meyers & Associates, they told me that I owed a debt with some payday loan place.... I called the payday loan office & they told me to call Brown Meyers... I called them back they gave me a good deal to close my account..... People out there just need to man up & take care of their responsibilities.... They even emailed me a letter concerning the account...

I received a call from this company claiming that we owed them money for a payday loan.  We have never used any type of payday loan service so I asked her to please send something in writing and she refused stating that there had already been letters mailed out.  She was demanding my bank account information be given to her to satisfy this debt and I refused and hung up on her.  I called the FTC and was informed that by law they have to provide something in writing with 5 days, they cannot threaten you with arrest if you refuse to pay, it is a civil matter not criminal.  Since we have never done business with any type of payday loan company I will not take any further calls from these people.

You just being fooled by this idiots any debt collectors had to send you a legal bill or document by mail and not by bogus email do you think they will stop calling u hell no that's their everyday scam they let u pay something you aren't aware of that they will say it's for a long time loan

I received the same call last night from this scumbags.... the guy who talked to me say the same thing he said to you. I'm waiting for them to send me to court

When I heard this guy talked to me after he left a message for me and I called back.... he  sounds like a cop or a "Private Investigator" than a debt collector. He threatened me with "hell & fire." He calls me name like "bad-check writer state to state," or something like that. I asked for the address of his so-called "Mayer & Brown associates" but he refused to give, only he wants contact through email only. I was surprised. Why hiding the address of the company? Why they refused to send me a "debt validation letter?"  I need an answer.

Get these automated calls from 813-261-1150. When I answer it, it is still an automated message. When they leave a message it is for someone's name that I can't make out and it is about "a check that was returned by my bank!" Very funny, since my bank hasn't returned any checks and my account is always in balance!! It only comes to my cell phone#, so will try to block this through Verizon!

i wish to let the "debt collectors" know that i don't apppreciate calls from people who cannot identify themselves. for one thing the person you tried to reach(my son) does not live here...and callling here without giving me a clue what the call is about irritates me.  The caller left this message"i need to get a statement from ________ regarding a incident against him."
well i interpreted it to mean he was in trouble for something. upon talking to him after he talked to the woman who called, he told me she said he could be charged with defrauding the state if the debt was not paid.   well, lets see what the attorney general says about that.  why are you offering payday loans on the same page as the complaints are being printed????????

I recieved a call from Darren Gonzales - 813-261-1150 - Said if i did'nt pay $465.25 in 24hrs. they were pressing criminal charges for writting bad checks. Scared the hell out of me!!!

I have received calls from this same 'company'.  I honestly thought they were an attorney's office.  Apparently they are not attorney's.  They told me that I wrote a bad check on a closed bank account w/M&T bank.  I never did such a thing.  They told me I owe over $800.00.  They told me they would get me fired from my job.

This is information we need to know.  Since they are not a registerd Debt Collector in Florida how do we know the money will get to the proper people for repayment?
