Who number is this?

I keep getting phone calls at from this number nobody talks every time they call. I just let my answer machine pick up. I am getting tired of them calling between 6 pm and 8 pm. so I know this is a telemarketer. I called them and it goes to an automated mail box that is not set up.

They called 5 times in just one evening.  Totally annoying so whenever I see the number I will not answer phone.

I just got this call on a Sunday morning at 11:40.  I answered, but after saying "hello" several times with no response, I hung up.  I'd like to know who is calling and the reason behind it.

I received a call from a woman doing some survey in my area.

Have them blocked....Caller ID comes up on TV as Cell Phone Fl.

2 calls so far today.....4 rings, no message.  Has to be some kind of scam.

Keeping calling so many time on Sunday 31st, 2015 w/o message. I didn't answer these calls.

Kept calling me in the Austin area, several times, no message.

Got several phone calls from this number today in the Austin area. I didn't recognize on caller ID so I just ignored; they did not leave a message any of the times they called. VERY ANNOYING.

Called here 5 times in one day too, so I submitted a complaint for that number on the Do Not Call Registry.

Rec'd call at 9:42 pm last night...no message left.  Caller ID:  Florida.   Will block #.

I thought after 9 pm, those telemarketers could not call.  On Do Not Call List, but that is a waste of time.

This number is Central Research located in a suburb of Tampa (I know:  I asked the surveyor).  They are conducting surveys of voters regarding the upcoming 2016 presidential election.  I suggest that you respond to the call -- you will have the opportunity to give your opinion -- and to remain anonymous.  (P.S.  I receive no $ or benefits for posting this.  Just a fellow American letting others know that this is the number for a political survey.)

You cannot respond to this call because there is never anyone there and it hangs up if you hang on.  I would love to give my opinion on a political survey, however this is just annoying as no one is ever there when you answer and they call multiple times a day.

I have received 3 calls from this number starting at about 03:00 pm today -- and I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't a couple more calls yet this evening.  The first call I disconnected, but answered the 2nd two calls and got nothing in response except a few seconds of silence and then an audible disconnect.   The reason that I answered the last 2 calls is after reading the post above, I was curious as to how legitimate of a political survey it really was.

Even without getting a response on the line from them, my conclusion is that it is a scam of some sort.   Maybe, assuming they ever actually connect a call, the point is to gather information on political attitudes so they can call back at a later date soliciting bogus donations for whatever you said that you supported.   Who knows?

I tried googling "Central Research" in Tampa, and Tampa Bay, and couldn't find any information on such a company.

A legitimate survey company would identify themselves with the company name on caller ID as Gallup does.    A caller ID of "WIRELESS CALLER" does not indicate anything legitimate.

No legitimate company would abandon the vast majority of the calls reported -- that's illegal.

The caller is running the same scam nonsense on 813-310-9235 and apparently several other 813-310-92xx numbers as well.

I wouldn't respond to any survey question they might actually ask, and then either block the number(s) they call from or just manually disconnect the calls.
