she called me, and wanted to talk about health insurance option, when i told her i would call her back and wanted her number and extention number she said, it's easier that she would call me back,,, i did not agreed she finally gave me the independence blue cross number with billing ex #.  when i call that extension, that was the billing extension #. SCAM? or Not Scam? yes 90% scammer.

A Danny called to ask me if I had received my supplement information. Claims that he is with Health Net and offered me a 800-836-2717.  Said that he was in Los Angles - 813 us the area code for Tampa Fl. . Both of his number do not come up as Health Net.

I received two calls from this number.  The person left a voicemail message twice.  She said her name was Charlotte and she was calling about my Independence Blue Cross Bill.  When I called the number back it was a non working number.

This person called today to see if I received my "January invoice" and told me I could call a certain number to make a payment.

I got nervous and called the number right away and it was the number to make a payment.

I decided to call Independence Blue Cross because they're based in my city (Philadelphia) but the number was for FL.

The woman confirmed that they had not called me and that they would've had no reason to.

Be cafeful!! Don't give them any information!!!

They called me and told me they from Connectic care and they want to do a questionnaire that is not going to affect my insurance with questions like  if I take pills, if I got problems the last two weeks, if I got headache, things like that but I am pretty sure what is the reason I just answer what they wanted heard and record them...they are not smart

Woman told me she was calling on behalf of ConnectiCare and was doing a survey on recent insureds'.  I said the company's name did not come up on caller ID. She did not know why.  I asked her who wrote out her paycheck. She said ConnectiCare.   I didn't believe her and judging from different comments here, she wasn't telling the truth.  She started the questions with what was my birth date. I did not give any information.  I suggest you don't either.

Repeated calls and many personal health and data questions asked. They will not email questionnaire. basically a checklist of what info not to give to stranger over the phone.

Man left a message saying he was Amerihealth and that he spoke with a relative of mine. The scam artist said he wants me to call him back and give him my information pertaining to my health care account. I could tell by the sound of his voice this was a scam. Person sounded slightly nervous and unsure of who he was calling. He does not work for Amerihealth. Don't give information to them, they will steal your money

A woman called my office and asked if she could transfer a call to me from a guy asking for someone from digital marketing. She said she wasn't even sure how he got transferred to her. I asked if she just needed the last four numbers (as an internal call) and she said she needed the full number. I should have figured it out right there that an internal person can make a transfer without needing a full number. I didn't give her a name, though. I asked for her name, and she said it was Diane.  I looked up her name in our company directory and she doesn't exist. I called the number back and reached an automated message telling me that I reach Independent Blue Cross.

This is the official number for Independence Blue Cross.  We have been in contact with them numerous times.  It is a legitimate number.
